Zaha and his pace are undoubtedly a threat. He's getting in down the left hand side and it's required some first class defending from Dier to snuff him out. He adds an extra dimension when he plays.

I won't upset anyone by calling any team a 'one-man' team but Palace are a different beast with Wilfried Zaha in the side. Again he motors past his man and again Eric Dier does well to cover and slide it away. Danny Rose is involved in a bit of shoving at the corner but Spurs eventually clear easily enough.

Spurs haven't quite got the balance of midfield and attack just yet. Who is making near-post runs and arriving on time to finish off crosses? These are the kind of moves that Alli would be feasting on.

Spurs' English contingent have made a good start. Wilfried Zaha gets away from Davinson Sanchez and motors down the left but Eric Dier reads it and makes up some serious ground to cut it out.

Without Cabaye's tracking and running back, Son would have got in there. Brilliant from Cabaye without the ball and much-needed. You have to have that effort and hard work as part of the game now.

Lovely pass! Harry Winks spreads the play to Danny Rose, inch perfect his first-time cross is inviting for Harry Kane but Scott Dann stretches to intercept. Made in England.

Christian Eriksen then shoots wide. Spurs ticking into gear.

Palace have certainly learned the lessons by watching both Liverpool and Real Madrid's performances at Wembley in the last week or so. Liverpool and Real both defended so high up the pitch and Harry Kane and Son could run in behind all day long. Palace dropping deeper, though as I say that Son skips past Scott Dann on the left. Cleared.

Kyle: Great chance for Palace today. Spurs have a great squad but no Alli, Lloris and Alderweireld is huge.

Rory Forrest: Stonewall. Anywhere else on the field that's a foul ALL DAY LONG.

Palace are playing Andros Townsend and Wilfried Zaha as forwards. False nines?

Spurs seeing all of the ball now as Harry Kane shoots from 25 yards. Palace relieved to see it tamely hit Julian Speroni as they have conceded a goal with the first shot on target they've faced four times this season.

Eric Dier's versatility means that you can never be sure what formation Spurs will go for. They sometimes change within a game. He's in a back three at the minute with Harry Winks playing just in front, very deep. An England role awaits there?

Very sleepy start from Spurs. It's no Real Madrid performance yet. Harry Kane comes left to collect the ball and beats one man, but Scott Dann shuts the door in his face. Spurs now have a prolonged spell of possession but Serge Aurier can't find a cross of Kieran Tripper's class in midweek.

There is definite contact between Gazzaniga and Sakho. Both the arm and the foot of the keeper have caught him and that's a real shout for a penalty. Perhaps if it wasn't so early it would have been given.

This is going to be tough for Tottenham. They've just rolled over Real Madrid and now it's Palace at home - they could be tempted to think it's going to be easy. I think this will be a real test for Spurs, especially how they can cope without key players.
