    Tottenham 0-1 West Brom

    John Southall
BBC Radio 5 live football reporter at Wembley

West Brom can be a tough team to break down when they're ahead, Spurs are camped in their half but are yet to test Ben Foster. Albion have 10 men behind the ball, Gary Megson is pacing his technical area frantically chewing gum.

Not one to blow my own trumpet but I might have mentioned a little earlier that West Brom might surprise a few here (see 14:46). Long way to go.

When they get in the final third and there's lots of shirts in front of them, Tottenham need someone to go past them and they haven't got that.

    Newcastle 0-1 Watford

Joselu has the chance to equalise but sees his shot blocked by a decent sliding Adrian Mariappa challenge.

Couple of yellow cards already in this clash - Jonjo Shelvey for Newcastle and Marvin Zeegelaar. Quite feisty.

    Swansea 0-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth have not had too many sights of Swansea's goal in the game so far, but when they do, defender Nathan Ake's overhead from the edge of the area is a horrible, scruffy effort.

Better from Tottenham or, to be more precise, Harry Kane. He finally sees a gap in that West Brom defence and hits a low effort towards the far post... it trickles just wide.

    Chris Waddle

Tottenham's players are all coming out of the danger area looking for the ball. When Kieran Trippier looks to cross it, there's only one player in the box.

    Tottenham 0-1 West Brom

West Brom's two banks of four are keeping their discipline and it's forcing Tottenham to keep passing the ball backwards and restart their attacks. Old school football from an old school manager. Not pretty but effective at the moment.

    Someone's not impressed...

Lukaku is an awful, awful player, Man United are devoid of passion creativity or entertainment. They're a fading force.

    Man Utd 0-0 Brighton

Brighton number one Mathew Ryan is finally called into action, but it is a tame header from Romelu Lukaku following Juan Mata's deep cross to the back post.

Still no real chances at Palace but Stoke are coming into this more now.

The man with possibly the longest name in football these days, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, keeps the ball alive despite the attention of several Palace players but is unable to get a shot off on goal.

Will Hughes is a very complete midfielder, he just needed to add goals to his game but now he's got two in two! It's very well taken from him again, and it looks like he's really settled in well at Watford.

    It's been all Newcastle but...

... Watford lead and it's through a lovely Will Hughes finish.

Marvin Zeegelaar crosses low into the box and Hughes produces the cutest of touches to flick the ball into the far corner.

Two in two for the former Derby midfielder, who is making the step up the Premier League look easy.

    Man Utd 0-0 Brighton

Anthony Martial has been quiet for Manchester United in the opening 15 minutes, but gets to run at the Seagulls back line for the first time.

He shuffles his way to the edge of the box before being tumbled by a man in yellow, but referee Neil Swarbrick waves play on.

    Tottenham 0-1 West Brom

    Chris Powell
Former England full-back on Final Score

You'd expect West Brom to go to Wembley and set up defensively to make things difficult for Spurs, and they've done that, but to top it off Spurs have given them a sloppy goal too, with Alli giving the ball away in the middle of the park. West Brom look very comfortable, Spurs are just huffing and puffing at the moment.
