    He was offside anyway.

It should be a double substitution really, if they had any ambition they'd be be taking Tiemoue Bakayoko off.

I stand to be corrected but remember Torres wining a Premier League, Champions League, Europa league, FA Cup with Chelsea. How he played didn’t matter, just check his trophy cabinet.

    Johnson

Chelsea lacking creativity in midfield. Fabregas is a big miss. Bakayako is definitely no better than Loftus-Cheeck. Waste of money on foreign one season wonders

    First Chelsea change.

Danny Drinkwater played well in the first half but found it a little more difficult in the second.

He trots off and Cesc Fabregas takes his place.

  6. Postpublished at 73 mins

    Liverpool 1-0 Chelsea

Chelsea still have a chance of getting something out of this game.

Liverpool are all over the place at the back, hitting clearances at their own team-mates.

The ball breaks free inside the box, but Tieumoue Bakayoko cannot make anything of the chance.

  7. Postpublished at 71 mins

Tiemoue Bakayoko has had a stinker for Chelsea today.

He has an easy pass out wide to Eden Hazard, but pumps it out of play.

I'm surprised at Chelsea, they haven't had that many chances in the second half, and they haven't looked as fluid going forward as they did in the first half. Liverpool have contained them well, and Chelsea haven't been able to create anything, but still no sign of any changes from Antonio Conte.

Eden Hazard has looked a bit tired in the second half so far, he's made a few sloppy passes, and it might be because of his exertions in the first half.

It was very fortunate, but we felt that pressure building. It was a fortunate deflection right into Phillipe Coutinho's pass, who plays in Mohamed Salah, and he finishes it nicely, but doesn't celebrate out of respect for his former club.

    Mohamed Salah

    Liverpool

    Who else??

It had to be Mohamed Salah.

Philippe Coutinho works the ball on the edge of the box and lays it off, but Tieumoue Bakayoko makes a hash of the clearance. It allows Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to poke the ball into the box.

Salah is bearing down on goal and with Thibaut Courtois closing in, the Egyptian slides a cool finish low into the net.

That is his 10th league goal of the season and 15 overall. Lethal.

Salah refuses to celebrated against his old club.

Chances flowing for each side now.

Mohamed Salah finds Daniel Sturridge in the box, the Liverpool striker shifts it left and shoots low, but across comes Cesar Azpilicueta with a decisive sliding challenge to save a certain goal.

    Great defending by the Spaniard.

  19. CLOSE!published at 62 mins

    Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson gives the ball away and is lucky not to be punished.

N'Golo Kante is the man to pinch the ball, before setting Davide Zappacosta free down the right.

The Italian whips in a first-time cross which takes a nick off Ragnar Klavan and then hits Alvaro Morata and goes wide.

The Chelsea striker just could not adjust in time.

  20. CLOSE!published at 60 mins

    Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

    Chelsea should be ahead.

Brilliant break leads to wing-back Davide Zappacosta feeding the ball across the box to Alvaro Morata, who mis-cues from six yards out.

The Spaniard may have been put off by Joe Gomez's sliding challenge, but he should still have done better.

An hour gone, no sign of any changes yet.
