It's been a good spectacle of football. It's been tight in midfield, and chances have been limited, but it's been good to watch. There's a lot of talent on display, and whenever Eden Hazard or Mohamed Salah get the ball it looks like something's going to happen.

Hazard takes up dangerous positions as soon as it's into his feet, he can beat a man with a quick jink, with ease. Chelsea are being very clever, tactically they've been very good.

Serge Tchwenko: Time for Mane and Firmino to come on, methinks.

Ash: So no Chelsea fans would take any Liverpool players? With this dull defensive tactic I wouldn’t want any Chelsea players either.

I think Tiemoue Bakayoko has done his shift now, he hasn't made any impact on the game, so I think he'll come off. And Jurgen Klopp might even look to get Sadio Mane on, because he always looks to get in behind and stretch the opposition defence, which Liverpool haven't done enough in the first half.

Absorbing contest but it remains goalless.

Danny Sturridge has been given a start today but has failed to impress, mainly because he has not received any service.

The striker flicks a ball into the box, which almost runs into the path of James Milner, but Chelsea can clear.

DeathApeDisco: Re Mesud - Hazard doesn't score and assist enough. He is obviously an incredible talent. But he'd have a fight to get into Man City's team with his work-rate.

James Pye: Echos of Italy v Spain from the Euros with Conte's tactics today, especially with prevention of the short ball from the keeper

  7. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 44 mins

    Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

Best moment in the game for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, turning past Davide Zappacosta.

The former Arsenal man floats a cross to the back post which Marcos Alonso heads away.

It is about to drop for Philippe Coutinho inside the box, but Eden Hazard does his defensive duties by easing the Brazilian off the ball.

The home fans shout for a penalty to go their way, but that would have been harsh.

Absolutely superb play from Salah there, he's turned Kante and Cahill inside out, I thought we were going to see the net bulge.

  10. CLOSE!published at 42 mins

    Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

This is why he is so dangerous.

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is paying too close attention to Mohamed Salah, who zips away with a quick turn on the edge of the box.

The Egyptian knows what he wants to do, he does not even look up, but his curled shot towards the far post does not have enough bend and drifts agonisingly wide.

    Thibaut Courtois was beaten.

Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno going walkabout again, leaving Chelsea wing-back Davide Zappacosta free inside the area.

The Italian attempts to pick out a team-mate with a volleyed cutback, but Reds centre-back Ragnar Klavan skirts across to clear away.

    Waheeeeeey!

Cheers from the crowd as referee Michael Oliver takes a tumble in the centre circle.

There was no-one around him, what a dive.

They will take a retrospective look at that on Monday morning.

  14. A tough game for Alonsopublished at 18:06 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    David Thompson

This is one of the hardest games Marcos Alonso will have all season, I've never seen him struggle so much. But saying that most of Mohamed Salah's play has been with his back to goal, we want to see him face up and running at defenders.

  15. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Gamble!

Philippe Coutinho swings in a free-kick from the right after Mohamed Salah was hauled down.

Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen jumps to head away but misses the ball and with no Liverpool player taking a chance at the far post, is allows an easy clearance for Davide Zappacosta.

  17. A cracking 0-0published at 18:04 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

    Steve Crossman
    BBC Radio 5 live

Incredible how much space Salah is being afforded by Chelsea, Coutinho by contrast is never allowed the room to turn.

This is a cracking 0-0 by the way...both teams creating plenty of chances, neither manager interested in taking their seat

It's all coming from Hazard and from Zappacosta. But Liverpool aren't tracking Drinkwater's runs from midfield either, the Ox isn't tracking him, and it's leaving Henderson all on his own - and he's got Hazard to look after too.
