    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 live

If Watford don't win it they'll still see this as a very positive result, to be three points off Spurs at this stage of the season.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:36 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2017

    Stoke 2-1 Swansea

Jack Butland's just kept his team in it - keeping out his own defender in the process.

A deep free-kick has Ryan Shawcross scrambling and he connects hard with the top of his head, forcing Butland into a fine fingertip reaction save.

Gordon Banks wants him for England at the World Cup - and that is why.

    Watford 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur

This has been a really fiery encounter. Just the one sending off so far.

Spurs are working hard with 10 men to try and find a late winner - but Watford look equally capable of sealing what would be just a third home win of the season.

Harry Winter: The thing I like about this Liverpool team is that we can break down lower table defensive teams - unlike last season where we'd beat Man City and then lose to Crystal Palace. If we can push on and beat the same teams as last year, we have top four potential again.

  5. Postpublished at 16:33 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2017

    West Brom 0-0 Crystal Palace

Hooked away by Jonny Evans! The Baggies defender saves the day as he clears from Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

West Brom try and charge forward through Jay Rodriguez before he's hacked down by Joel Ward, who's quite rightly booked.

  6. goal

GOAL - Everton 2-0 Huddersfieldpublished at 16:32 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2017

    Dominic Calvert-Lewin

That should be that for Everton!

Wayne Rooney's pass has the perfect weight, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is running wide but he still manages to pop a shot that is deflected up and over the keeper into the net.

They all count - Sam Allardyce will be a happy man.

  7. Postpublished at 16:31 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2017

    Stoke 2-1 Swansea

That must be so frustrating for Paul Clement - with his side building pressure Wilfried Bony commits a silly foul and the home side can soak something up.

About 15 minutes left for Swansea to find an equaliser.

John: I see the Spurs fans are complaining about Sanchez's red card. Basically, imagine a WWE wrestling move. And that was what Sanchez did to Richarlison. Fair red card. Ridiculous assault by the Spurs defender.

  10. Postpublished at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2017

    Watford 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Moussa Sissoko's fresh legs are whirling as he motors down the right wing and towards goal - but he overcooks it.

Spurs have to settle for a corner when Harry Kane was waiting for the cut-back.

Another really decent save from Julian Speroni denies Hal Robson-Kanu.

Meanwhile, the Baggies swap Robson-Kanu for James McClean.

  13. CHANCE!published at 16:28 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2017

    Stoke 2-1 Swansea

More pressure from Swansea. Tammy Abraham glides past Kurt Zouma and delivers a juicy low cross into the area, but it evades everyone and Stoke survive. Classy player, Abraham.

Heurelho Gomes getting a bit of treatment now - he's holding his head but looks to be OK. Now he's up.

Another controversial moment as Jan Vertonghen falls over the ball in possession then hauls down Etienne Capoue, who was running in on goal. Yellow card for the Spurs defender...

I think Poch has now run his course with the Spurs project and will be looking for a new challenge. PSG anyone?

    Anthony

Re Ian’s comment. I believe science would conclude that Spurs’s 2 year blip has finished and normal mediocrity has been resumed.

  17. GOOD SAVE!published at 16:25 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2017

    Stoke 2-1 Swansea

A decent stop from Jack Butland to keep out Ki Sung-yueng's zipping low effort - that'll make sure the finger's healed properly. Swansea are pressing...

  18. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:25 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2017

    Brighton 1-3 Liverpool

The wee Brazilian coolly takes his shot...and hits the post!

  19. CLOSE!published at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2017

    Stoke 2-1 Swansea

So close! Mame Biram Diouf really has to score - he won't know how he's missed. His glancing header from a cross from the right just zips wide of the Swansea post.

Surely that would have sealed it.

It's becoming a physical contest, there's a little bit of niggle in the game. It's hotting up and it's exciting.
