    Burnley 1-0 Watford

Nothing much has happened at Turf Moor this half. Watford are playing this conservatively, knowing another goal will kill them.

They can't do this for the whole half, though. They'll have to take a risk at some point.

  2. CLOSE!published at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

    Swansea 0-0 West Brom

We're getting close to a goal at Swansea.

Wilfried Bony gets the ball midway inside the West Ham half from Roque Mesa, turns and charges towards goal before firing just wide from outside the box.

    Better.

  3. Postpublished at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

    Crystal Palace 2-2 Bournemouth

This game was a little later to get back under way than the others so not much to report as yet, although there's a rather unusual argument developing over a drop ball.

Neither team can agree which keeper the ball should be kicked to but eventually Andrew Surman takes charge and hoofs the ball up to Palace keeper Julian Speroni.

  4. goal

    Harry Kane (54 mins)

    Game over.

A quick-fire double from Spurs kills off Stoke's challenge. Ben Davies' cross is hung up and met by a powerful header from Harry Kane that goes under Butland and in.

This is just the second time this Premier League season that Spurs have scored more than once in a game.

They could get plenty more yet.

    When you're hot, you're hot.

Son Heung-min scores for the second game running, charging on to collect a Dele Alli pass before slotting a low shot past Jack Butland.

    Tottenham in total control now.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:03 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

    Huddersfield 2-0 Brighton

I picked Ezequiel Schelotto as one to watch. Shows what I know because the Brighton winger got the hook at half time. Solly March is on in his place.

  11. Postpublished at 16:02 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

Plenty to play for in these games. Only Brighton look in serious, serious trouble.

We've got players out on pitches. Strapped in and ready to go?

OK, who had Crystal Palace v Bournemouth down as game of the day?

    Liar.

Zeegelaar goes low, hurling himself forward, but to be honest to me that doesn't look like a red-card offence.

Jack Lovatt: Can only assume Zaha gets a ban for that, disgraceful.

  15. 'Zaha should get suspension'published at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

    Crystal Palace 2-2 Bournemouth

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on Final Score

For me it's not a penalty. Zaha is running and the referee is looking from behind, the Bournemouth goalkeeper doesn't make any contact and it shouldn't be a penalty.

He's gone over seeking to gain an advantage, they have to look at that because that's a suspension.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

    Crystal Palace 2-2 Bournemouth

All square at the break. A fully entertaining half of football but there's plenty of debate about Crystal Palace's first and whether it should have been a penalty...

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

    Burnley 0-0 Watford

A game that swung in a six-minute period toward the end of the half.

Marvin Zeegelaar's red followed soon after by Scott Arfield's opening goal.

Marco Silva has accompanied the ref for the entirety of his walk off the pitch and down the tunnel. Animated is the word.

  18. goal

GOAL - Crystal Palace 2-2 Bournemouthpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

    Jermain Defoe (45 mins)

    What a strike!

Brilliant from Jermain Defoe as he lets a ball over the top bounce over him and he hooks a volley over the keeper and just under the crossbar.

    Superb finish.

Is that handball? Daryl Janmaat blocks the ball in the box with his upper arm, prompting huge roars from the home fans. Referee Lee Probert takes a look... and then waves away the protests.
