    Tottenham 0-0 Stoke

Son Heung-min - a scorer midweek in Europe - has the first real effort at Wembley, cutting inside and firing a bouncing shot straight at Stoke keeper Jack Butland.

    Steve Mounie (12 mins)

A much-needed early breakthrough for the hosts as Steve Mounie bags his third of the season. It comes from a corner which is flicked on by Christopher Schindler and Mounie sneaks in at the far post to chest in.

    Jermain Defoe (10 mins)

The hosts had started well but Bournemouth snatch the early lead! Jermain Defoe sidefoots in from close range. That's a landmark goal for the veteran striker, his 200th in the league.

    Burnley 0-0 Watford

Watford are dominating at Turf Moor. Richarlison and Carillo look lively and Tom Cleverley and Abdoulaye Doucoure are grafting effectively in midfield.

Chris Wood hasn't had a sniff yet up top for the home side.

  5. Postpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

    Swansea 0-0 West Brom

A colleague who shall remain nameless suggested this has the makings of being the worst fixture in the Premier League yet this season.

It's living up that billing so far with no real chances for either side and some scrappy play in midfield.

  6. Postpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

    Burnley 0-0 Watford

    Good chance. No, great chance.

It falls to Watford's Richardlison, who slides in to connect with a precise Andre Carrillo ball into the Burnley box but pokes his effort over the top.

The Brazilian has shown already this campaign that he is much better than that.

    Tottenham 0-0 Stoke

Nothing to report from Wembley just yet. Quiet opening between out-of-form Spurs and Stoke, who are aiming for rare back-to-back wins.

  8. CLOSE!published at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Bournemouth

No goals in their last two games for Crystal Palace but Christian Benteke is a whisker away from ending the Eagles' mini-goal drought as he just fails to get his head to an Andros Townsend cross. Decent start by the hosts.

  9. Postpublished at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

    Huddersfield 0-0 Brighton

Snow is starting to fall onto the John Smith's Stadium pitch as Huddersfield control the early proceedings. No chances yet.

Ezequiel Schelotto will be one to watch today. He is making his first Premier League start for Brighton and is nicknamed "The Greyhound" for his speed.

    Burnley 0-0 Watford

Early Watford corner at Burnley. It causes plenty of problems after a flick on from Roberto Pereyra. There are a number of yellow-shirted players at the back post. One of them makes contact - I think it is Troy Deeney - but the header goes wide.

    Huddersfield v Brighton (15:00 GMT)

It's apparently a "scarf game" at Huddersfield today, meaning fans have been encouraged to bring their scarves. They've obliged with lots and lots of them on show. Massive bobble hats too because it is a bitterly cold West Yorkshire day.

West Ham's surprise win against Chelsea earlier makes three points today even more important for the hosts. They are currently just two points above the drop zone...

While Mauricio Pochettino has cited Manchester City's impeccable form and the fact that his team are only two points worse off than at this stage last season, there's no escaping the fact that Spurs need to start winning and keep winning.

The thought of losing further ground on their rivals for Champions League places isn't one they want to consider.

Nine dropped points at Wembley already will be a huge frustration and this is the type of match they simply have to be taking all three points from.

Stoke have been searching for their own consistency all season as they bid to win back-to-back league games for the first time since January. They'll no doubt be encouraged by Burnley, Swansea and West Brom's results at Wembley already.

    Burnley v Watford (15:00 GMT)

    Sean DycheImage source, PA

In August 2011 this fixture was Sean Dyche's first match as a manager, in charge of Watford, and a 2-2 draw represented a solid start.

Dyche spent just one season at Watford; almost the first act of the Pozzo family after their takeover was to replace him with Gianfranco Zola.

With Dyche now five years into a remarkable reign at Turf Moor, Burnley must be eternally grateful to the Pozzos for their lack of judgement.

Watford seem to have found a very decent manager of their own. Marco Silva dealt with Everton's interest carefully - never suggesting he wasn't amenable to the idea of being lured away, without actually agitating for a move.

Meanwhile, Dyche could be forgiven for wondering why Everton weren't making him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Spurs have stuttered in the League recently with only one win in their last six. But the arrival of Stoke to Wembley should cheer them up. Spurs have won their last 3 against Stoke - and all by the same score 4-0.
