Rafa Benitez must have his thermals on or his heart must be beating at an amazing rate. He still has not called for a coat and it is freezing. He knows Newcastle have to chase the game now, but that will leave more holes for Leicester to exploit. This is when Premier League managers make their money.

Andy Mac: Still time to get on the front foot, Rafa. Get Jonjo on and the Mitro boy. If we're going to lose let's go down fighting!

It is the kind of night you do not mind being asked to warm up if you are a sub. So often you watch them go through the motions - but I have just seen three from each side going hell for leather on the sidelines. It is a cold night on Tyneside!

It's a great strike from Demarai Gray. It comes from a long cross-field ball from Mahrez, Albrighton takes a a great touch and Gray is in space to fire it into the roof of the net.

The build up was just exquisite - the pass from Mahrez and then the touch from Albrighton make the goal.

Of particular worry for Newcastle and Rafael Benitez is that Leicester hadn't even started the second half well.

Benitez readies his first change - looks like it will be Christian Atsu to enter the fray.

    Demarai Gray

After a flat start to the second half, Leicester strike out of nowhere.

Riyad Mahrez swings a delicious ball out left and Marc Albrighton neatly knocks it down into the path of Demarai Gray.

The Foxes winger surges onto it, takes it in his stride and sees his strike deflect off Florian Lejeune and beyond the stricken Karl Darlow.

The deflection was perhaps lucky, but the build-up was superb.

There is an uneasiness around St James’ Park. You sense the Newcastle fans want to get behind their side, but they are wary. They know that Leicester carry a real threat on the break and they are not sure their own side have the capacity to score a winner.
