It's Gayle that finds himself in acres of space, where Danny Simpson is I don't know. Gayle gets to the line and cuts it back to Joselu who has a simple tap in and Newcastle take the early lead.

Simpson pushed forward leaving a huge gap and he couldn't physically get back. Gayle has recognised the space and Joselu gets his goal as a reward for making it into the box.

Leicester finally string a few passes together to find Ben Chilwell charging on the overlap.

His cross is over-hit but Demarai Gray gathers - his shot turned wide by Karl Darlow.

The resulting corner from Riyad Mahrez is poor and Newcastle can clear.

Dwight Gayle is proving a menace for the Leicester defence, this time drifting inside to pick up the ball just outside the area and flashing powerful left-foot drive just wide of the right-hand post.

Ritchie under-hits the delivery but Chilwell is forced to concede a corner, heading it away on the angle.

The resulting set-piece is dealt with well by the visitors.
