No bookings for either side so far but Dusan Tadic gets the first talking to from Bobby Madley after his raised arm floors Jack Wilshere.

And Wilshere's first real involvement is a loose pass that Van Dijk clears down field.

Decent covering work from the Arsenal defence and Petr Cech thwarts Saints.

Looks like Olivier Giroud is also about to enter the fray.

It was a terrific strike by Romeu. I think Cech thought he had it covered but it hit the bar and went over.

Saints target Koscielny down their left once again but this time the Frenchman is aware enough to clip the ball off Austin's toes.

SIX changes for Liverpool from the side that started the 7-0 win over Spartak Moscow in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino, who have scored nine Premier League goals between them this season, are only on the bench while there are rare starts for forward Dominic Solanke, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and full-back Andrew Robertson.

Jordan Henderson returns to captain the side while Simon Mignolet and James Milner are also back.

Loris Karius, Alberto Moreno, Georginio Wijnaldum and Emre Can also make way.

From Arsenal's point of view, they must be wishing they'd started the first-half as they have this second-half. They've pushed Southampton back and shown real intensity since the break.

Arsenal can't fashion a chance from the corner, the ball eventually falling to Granit Xhaka, but his drive is easily dealt with.
