    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

Can anyone snatch a late goal at the Amex? There's five minutes to go but it's a bit stop-start at the moment.

Scott Arfield takes a punt with a long ball for Burnley, but it's easily gathered by Mat Ryan.

At the other end, Ben Mee concedes a corner after jostling with Izzy Brown. Solly March's in-swinger arrives and is collected by keeper Nick Pope after an initial hand slip.

    Arsenal 1-0 Newcastle

Matt Ritchie delivers a peach of a ball from the wing which finds the head of Ayoze Perez - but the Spaniard, with nobody marking him, heads wide from 12 yards out.

    Had he hit the target...

Everytime Wilshere plays he is our best player on the pitch and has passion. Arsenal being hesitant to offer a new contract is an absolute joke.

  4. CLOSE!published at 16:39 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Arsenal 1-0 Newcastle

Joselu's shots tend not to be cleanly struck but this one is from 18 yards - the deflection on it just misses Arsenal keeper Petr Cech's post.

As it stands, it still looks like one point from a possible 27.

    Not great, to be fair.

    Less than 10 minutes remaining.

Cesc Fabregas has shot from the goal line there, so the law of physics tells you that it's impossible to score there - but he's almost done it. Fabregas has been exceptional since he came on.

  6. CLOSE!published at 16:37 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Chelsea 1-0 Southampton

There's a shout of 'GOODNESS ME' from across the BBC Sport desks. So close for Chelsea!

Chelsea earn a free-kick and it's taken very quickly by Willian. Cesc Fabregas weaves all the way to the byline and dribbles the ball across the face of the goal - and it goes just wide.

  10. Fabregas rejuvenates Chelseapublished at 16:33 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Chelsea 1-0 Southampton

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger at Stamford Bridge for 5 live Sport

Chelsea have looked a different side since Cesc Fabregas came on. He's rejuvenated them, here's more invention in that midfield, and now, they look like the side more likely to score next.

  11. Postpublished at 16:33 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Chelsea 1-0 Southampton

A few changes at Stamford Bridge.

Sofiane Boufal is on for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg for Southampton, while Alvaro Morata is on for Chelsea in place of Eden Hazard.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:32 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Arsenal 1-0 Newcastle

A very, very good point-blank stop from Newcastle keeper Rob Elliot to deny Jack Wilshere his first PL goal since May 2015.

The Magpies are still in it - just.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

Another brilliant piece of goalkeeping by Mat Ryan, who makes himself big in a one-on-one with the on-rushing Chris Wood.

Brighton keeper Ryan used his face to stop the ball in the end.

  14. Postpublished at 16:29 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Brighton 0-0 Burnley

Brighton keeper Mat Ryan rises high to collect a looping ball and Ashley Barnes decides he's going to barge into him, and the pair roll into the back of the net.

Barnes quite rightly gets a yellow for that.

I think he's got that decision right you know, the linesman. Cesc Fabregas has come on, and he's almost made an instant impact, how much sharper does Chelsea's midfield look now?

    Abdoulaye Doucoure

    What a strike!

Wonderful, wonderful effort from Abdoulaye Doucoure.

The French midfielder, who has already scored a brilliant goal this season, hits one 'on the half' from 20 yards which arrows past Jonas Lossl.

Moments, earlier Lossl produced a 'one for the cameras' save to keep out Richarlison's bending effort.

  17. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:28 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Chelsea 1-0 Southampton

Eden Hazard has the ball in the back of the net for Chelsea but the offside flag is up against Cesc Fabregas, who has just come on to replace Pedro.

The duo played a dinky one-two in the build-up.

Josh Verrills: Noble deserved that goal; superb against both Chelsea and Arsenal this week. Hopefully that will be a winning goal to cap a great week for him. Another player who looks rejuvenated under Moyes

  19. Postpublished at 16:27 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

Striker Dwight Gayle is on to join Joselu up top for Newcastle.

Joselu really hasn't done it for the Magpies has he?

    Chelsea 1-0 Southampton

    Pat Nevin

Chelsea have been average in this second-half, they've done nothing special at all. Even Eden Hazard hasn't been at the races, his flicks aren't coming off, and he just needs to try and hold up the ball sometimes. It's been a very, very average display from Chelsea - but it hasn't had to have been anything more.
