  1. Kane can have no complaintspublished at 18:43 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Man City 1-0 Tottenham

    Bradley Allen
Ex-QPR striker on BBC Radio London at the Etihad

That'll be a yellow card. The crowd were ready for that one too, following Fabian Delph's booking, I don't think Harry Kane can have any complaints there. He caught Raheem Sterling with a nasty one.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 53 mins

    Man City 1-0 Tottenham

It's late challenges all over the place now.

Harry Kane is reckless - a really nasty and terribly timed slide tackle on Raheem Sterling.

Looking at it, it might have done Sterling serious damage - to his ankle. Kane perhaps lucky to escape with the card he has.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 51 mins

    Man City 1-0 Tottenham

Awful challenge from Fabian Delph on the escaping Kieran Trippier. Hauled him right down. In the book he goes.

Christian Eriksen delivers the free-kick - it's dangerous and Ederson gets an important fist to the ball to clear.

  4. CHANCE!published at 49 mins

    Man City 1-0 Tottenham

Ahh! Harry Kane's through ball to Son Heung-min is over-hit!

Manchester City were really exposed then - but perhaps they should have had a free-kick in the build-up. Without it it's a huge let off for the home side.

Son would have been through on goal but Kane's pass was too heavy.

How often are they going to get chances like that? They are starting to appear more often...

  5. CHANCE!published at 48 mins

    Man City 1-0 Tottenham

Harry Kane finds Christian Eriksen this time. Then Eriksen plays it back with a disguised pass.

Kane lifts the ball to the back post where Leroy Sane arrives with a priceless challenge to nip in and rob Son Heung-min just as the South Korean was about to shoot.

  6. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Man City 1-0 Tottenham

No changes just yet then - none at the break from either side.

Harry Kane slides the ball round a couple of Manchester City challenges but then smashes a cross-field pass into Dele Alli's back.

Danny Rose then slips over the ball, then falls down under pressure looking for a foul, and Sergio Aguero wins a corner on the counter attack.

And we are back under way.

  8. Postpublished at 18:33 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Man City 1-0 Tottenham

There really is quite a lot of this very cold looking fog drifting across the Etihad Stadium now.

The players loiter for a moment by the tunnel entrance - let the ref get out there with the ball first.

Andy Perry: For all Man City's dominance, they're only a goal up from a set piece... One Harry Kane chance is all it takes!

Jim: Spurs have been very poor but I'm not sure what we can change to be better.

Mark: I’m honestly starting to wonder whether Man City will ever drop points again! Being a United fan - this is painful!

  10. Llorente an option?published at 18:28 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Man City 1-0 Tottenham

    Bradley Allen
Ex-QPR striker on BBC Radio London at the Etihad

Fernando Llorente could be an option - he started up front with Harry Kane at the Bernabeu - and that could be a different approach. It would mean Kane not battling both central defenders all the time, and having someone like Llorente that can back in to the City defenders and hold the ball up could really make a difference for Spurs.

Can’t help but feel Phil’s choice not to do a joke about the fog was a mist opportunity there.

  13. 'Spurs will be disappointed'published at 18:23 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Man City 1-0 Tottenham

    Bradley Allen
Ex-QPR striker on BBC Radio London at the Etihad

In general Man City have dominated the first half. Spurs will be disappointed that they've fallen behind from a set-piece, but Sergio Aguero has had a chance, Leroy Sane has had a chance and Raheem Sterling put one wide too.

Spurs need to lock in in the second-half and press City, try and force them to make mistakes. But it won't be easy.

I think this shows how good this City team are. Spurs are a team who have, on occasion, made some very good teams look pretty ordinary this season, and they’re being made to look very ordinary here!

  15. Mist won't stop Man Citypublished at 18:19 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Man City 1-0 Tottenham

    Phil McNulty
    BBC Sport chief football writer

Bit of fog descending on Etihad Stadium - but this Manchester City side is playing so well they could probably find each other in the mist.

Kyle Walker twines Christian Eriksen. Ilkay Gundogan wants to add to his opener but is too ambitious with this long-range effort that bounces safely up into Hugo Lloris' diving embrace.

  20. Spurs need to get to half-timepublished at 18:15 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Man City 1-0 Tottenham

    Bradley Allen
Ex-QPR striker on BBC Radio London at the Etihad

Spurs just need to get to half-time now, they started okay in the first five minutes, but they just haven't had enough of the ball to create anything.
