    BBC Radio London Sport

Former Leyton Orient & Fulham player Rob Scott:

"The last five minutes or so Burnley have come back into the game and created a few more chances. Certainly they're starting to make their way into the game and Mauricio Pochettino will certainly be a little more on edge than he would have been had Moussa Sissoko put that chance away to double the lead."

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

That's another brilliant chance for Ben Davies to get a dangerous ball across goal - and another one he's wasted. This one goes straight out for a throw - too much pace on it.

Spurs win possession again, and moments later there's a bit of a scramble in the box after Dele Alli's shot is deflected and Kevin Long slides into to clear. Corner? No, goal kick says the ref...

  3. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Ben Davies is penalised for another foul. Free-kick Burnley, but Johann Berg Gudmundsson launches it wildly into space with seven men to aim at in the box.

At a break in play just then, Dele Alli was the closest Spurs player to the touchline.

First came the 'cheat' chants, then an unrepeatable obscenity.

    He doesn't seem too fussed.

Martin, Worcester: The defender dives in and catches Dele Alli. Penalty. I can't see what all the fuss is about.

Dan, Bedford: Alli wins the penalty after a player leaves his leg in on him. Stonewall penalty every day. A dive is when there is no contact made.

David: If Dele Alli had committed that foul later in the game he would in all probability have seen red. Referees tend to be more lenient at the start. He is going to be a real liability in Russia.

  6. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

This is much better from Burnley as Johann Berg Gudmundsson displays some lovely skill to evade Christian Eriksen and get a cross over. Their best spell.

Sean Dyche claps with his hands above his head in encouragement.

EIGHT to go until the break. A goal would be ideal...

  7. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Again Nick Pope slices a kick. It's not a disaster because Ben Davies makes a rather silly foul in search of the ball as it drops, but still, Burnley boss Sean Dyche will not be happy.

Ben Mee with another strong challenge on Dele Alli.

Steven Defour races down the right win and wins a corner from Jan Vertonghen.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 35 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Johann Berg Gudmundsson - we've seen very little from him so far - launches a ball over the top that Hugo Lloris comes out to field with his head.

Ah hang on. Chris Wood is down again. Now it looks like he'll have to come off and Sean Dyche is assessing his options. Ashley Barnes will replace him up front.

Charles: Pope is a good shot stopper but his poor distribution isn't helping Burnley retain any possession and get out of their own half.

Kyle: Spurs have been brilliant so far and should be two or three up. Terrible miss from Sissoko though, he never looked comfortable in front of goal.

  10. CHANCE!published at 31 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Almost calamity for Spurs as Serge Aurier dithers and gives the ball straight to Chris Wood.

He slides it wide for Steven Defour down the left wing, but as the ball comes back across Burnley's top scorer can't reach it.

He's taken a bit of a knock for his troubles and is getting treatment but should be fine to trot off and back on again.

  11. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Dele Alli's getting boos now from the home fans as he spins away from trouble in the corner only to veer straight back into it. Steven Defour does not take kindly to a challenge on Jack Cork and goes in hard on the Spurs midfielder. The ref will let them sort this one out between them seemingly - no foul. Certainly won't be the last...

Lee: The knives seem to be out for Dele Alli lately, he's still young give the lad a break!

Anon: I don't mind losing when the opposition is genuinely better but when Alli blatantly dives I feel massively aggrieved.

  13. CHANCE!published at 27 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Grim reading for Burnley fans: They have won none of the 46 Premier League games under Sean Dyche in which they have conceded the first goal.

They've drawn nine and lost 37.

Nick Pope kicks straight to Christian Eriksen, who finds Harry Kane on the edge of the box with a chance to shoot, but the England striker is off target - over the bar.

  14. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

England boss Gareth Southgate is in the stands at Turf Moor today by the way. He'll have noticed Pope's excellent double save...

Although it's fair to say he got the luck of the bounce with Sissoko's second shot - it pinged to safety off the side of his heel.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 22 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Corner Burnley now. Scott Arfield wins it. Ben Mee travels up from centre-back, but Spurs clear and counter at breakneck speed.

Dele Alli is away with it and he plays Moussa Sissoko in on goal... Nick Pope can see the whites of his eyes and stays big to block twice. A big moment for Burnley. Disaster averted. Sissoko really has to be burying one of those.

Those two incidents involving Dele Alli have incensed the Burnley fans around me.

They think the Tottenham man should have been sent off the for the challenge that got him booked. And they are convinced he dived for the penalty.

They also feel Harry Kane went down too easily when he was clearly fouled.

Referee Michael Oliver is going to need his wits about him here. Sean Dyche is evidently unhappy but Mauricio Pochettino was not too chuffed with the foul on Kane.

Fourth official Mike Dean has had both of them in his ear.

  17. Postpublished at 19 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Another really smart passage of play from Spurs as Son Heung-min spins sharply to head an Eric Dier long ball back into the mix, although Christian Eriksen's cross is too long for those in the area.

But there's no let-up for Burnley - the away side are right on them and will not the Clarets clear, as a hurried clearance almost falls kindly for Dele Alli, and now Nick Pope knocks his kick straight into touch.

  18. CLOSE!published at 17 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

    Almost two!

Harry Kane brings down a Dele Alli deflected shot, rounds the oncoming Nick Pope, but can't quite wrap his boot around the ball to find the right side of the post, he hits the side netting instead.

Lee Kibbey: Hopefully the FA show some consistency and ban Alli for a blatant dive. Yes there was contact, but only when in mid dive.

Noel Fitzpatrick: The issue isn't the penalty, the issue is that Dele Alli shouldn't even be on the pitch!!

  20. CHANCE!published at 14 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Scott Arfield, running onto a long through ball, manages to pop up a cross with Chris Wood waiting but Davinson Sanchez blocks and it squirms into Hugo Lloris' gloves. The first time Burnley have threatened in the box.

Harry Kane is brought down as Spurs counter, and Christian Eriksen's free-kick leads to a corner... which is boomed clear by Phil Bardsley.
