  1. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 1-2 QPRpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 16 September 2017

    Jamie Mackie (50 mins)

This is a shocker for Boro, who fall behind for a second time in the game, and it is very avoidable.

Darren Randolph's clearance was charged down and Jamie Mackie restores QPR's advantage.

    Millwall 0-0 Leeds

Seriously, how are Millwall not winning yet? They're all over Leeds.

Felix Wiedwald is having a blinder in the Leeds goal, to be fair.

  3. goal

GOAL: Burton 2-1 Fulhampublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 16 September 2017

    Lucas Akins, pen (51 mins)

We're going goal crazy in the Championship at the start of this second half!

Lucas Akins scores from the sport to restore Burton's lead at home to Fulham.

  4. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 1-1 Derbypublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 16 September 2017

    Cauley Woodrow (49 mins)

Bristol City v DerbyImage source, Rex Features

Bristol City have a deserved equaliser as on-loan striker Cauley Woodrow heads in his first goal for the club.

It could be a really decent second half at Ashton Gate now.

  5. goal

GOAL: Ipswich 1-0 Boltonpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 16 September 2017

    Cole Skuse (48 mins)

Away wins for Bolton Wanders are rare in the Championship... they haven't picked one up in 28 games going back to April 2015, the season before they were relegated from the division.

Something even more rare than that is Cole Skuse goals. With what was just his second goal in 176 appearances for Ipswich, he puts the hosts ahead with a heavily deflected effort from 30 yards.

    Millwall 0-0 Leeds

Millwall have started the second half the same way they spent most of the first half - on top.

  7. goal

GOAL: Forest 0-1 Wolvespublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 16 September 2017

    Diogo Jota (47 mins)

Forest v WolvesImage source, Rex Features

Wolves lead as Diogo Jota slides in at the City Ground. That's a perfect start to the second half for the visitors. It was a really good cross from Ivan Cavaleiro to create the goal.

Play is getting back under way.

  9. The Beast and the elusive win...published at 16:01 British Summer Time 16 September 2017

As far as score updates go, very few can bring more joy than highlighting when "The Beast" Adebayo Akinfenwa scores a goal.

It is all really in the nickname, and the fact that Akinfenwa is a little bit of Rock n Roll.

For the record, the headed goal for Wycome from a Michael Harriman cross could very well set them up for a special result against Luton - a side the Chairboys have never beaten at home in 12 previous meetings in all competitions.

And yes, I realise that this score update will bring no joy to Luton fans. Sorry.

    HT: Cardiff 0-1 Sheff Wed

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium

It has been a solid display from Sheffield Wednesday so far.

Carlos Carvalhal's men have utterly dominated possession and, although clear scoring opportunities have been scarce, they are well worth their half-time lead.

The game has largely been played in Cardiff's half and the hosts have been unable to counter-attack at pace like they have done so far this season.

  13. The half-time Championship headlinespublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 16 September 2017

    James VaughanImage source, Rex Features
    • James Vaughan heads Sunderland, who've lost each of their last three games, into a 1-0 lead at Hull City.
    • Unbeaten leaders Leeds United are being held 0-0 at Millwall, who've wasted numerous first-half chances through Steve Morison.
    • Maxime Colin's goal has given Birmingham City a narrow advantage over high-flying Preston, relieving some of the pressure on Harry Redknapp.
    • Lewis Baker cancelled out David Wheeler's early goal to level for Middlesbrough at home to QPR, while Burton are all square against Fulham.
    • Derby are ahead at Bristol City, while winless Brentford are leading Reading and Norwich are in front at Sheffield United.
  14. Vale up in battle of bottom twopublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 16 September 2017

In the scrap at the bottom of the English Football League, 24th-placed Port Vale are 1-0 up against 23rd-placed Forest Green Rovers.

Dan Turner is the man to come up with the only goal of the game so far.

As it stands, the result will lift Vale off the foot off League Two.

    Forest 0-0 Wolves

If you're wondering why we've not been mentioning Forest v Wolves, that's because very little has been happening in that game. It's been pretty even so far, as half-time approaches.

    Hull 0-1 Sunderland

Sunderland goal scorer James Vaughan goes close to a second, but he is denied by a decent save from Hull keeper Allan McGregor.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:43 British Summer Time 16 September 2017

    Millwall 0-0 Leeds

Millwall are almost ahead against unbeaten Leeds and it is Steve Morison with the chance once again, but he heads over from a corner.

  19. Payne's nose for goalpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 16 September 2017

It is all happening at Boundary Park... And by all happening I mean Stefan Payne put League One leaders Shrewsbury 1-0 up before going off moments later with a nose injury, then lowly Oldham level through Craig Davies.

Pretty eventful opening half so far there, then.

  20. Postpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 16 September 2017

    Millwall 0-0 Leeds

Meanwhile, Leeds have now passed 600 consecutive minutes of league football without conceding.

    Resolute.
