The stage is set for Ben Woodburn to come on and make an Impact.

Wales play Republic of Ireland in the group closer on Monday so anything other than a win is not ideal tonight.

Ben Woodburn to come on again and score?

  3. 'Georgia will get chances'published at 17:53 British Summer Time 6 October 2017

Wales just need to make it tighter in the midfield. Georgia have found spaces in between the midfield and the back four.

Sooner or later, they will get chances.

Kyle: Wouldn't be surprised to see the matchwinner come off the bench in the likes of Brookes, Robson-Kanu and Woodburn.

Richard: Two great chances wasted. 2 decent chances missed. We've got to be more prolific second half.

Marcus: Give David Brooks a chance. He's fearless and a class act.

Wales had the chances to lead but it's half-time stalemate.

Woodburn to win it from the bench again? I wouldn't say no at this stage.

Mike Green: Who needs Gareth Bale when you have Ben Woodburn.

Kyle: Get the feeling if Wales are going to win this one. They are going to have to grind out a 1-0 victory.

Wales free-kick after Tom Lawrence is chopped down, but Aaron Ramsey smashes a shot into the wall. Disappointing.

Georgia are causing problems down the left-hand side. It is mainly caused by Tom Lawrence coming in.

Does he come in and be that extra midfield player or does he deal with the full-back?

They are getting closer, just like Wales are.

  11. CLOSE!published at 38 mins

    Georgia 0-0 Wales

And now it's the hosts who go close! And that's arguably the best chance of the lot.

Otar Kakabadze stands up a cross from the right, Giorgi Kvilitaia finds a gap between two Wales defenders and he heads it down into the pitch. Is the bounce taking it in?

    Wide!

  12. Wales on top, but chances going beggingpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 6 October 2017

    Michael Pearlman
    Michael Pearlman in Tbilisi

This seems all to familiar for a Wales side who, remember, drew five successive matches in World Cup qualifying Group D before Ben Woodburn's winner against Austria.

Aaron Ramsey, Andy King and Sam Vokes all might have scored within the opening half an hour, but Georgia are threatening, especially with long balls that are bypassing the Welsh midfield and allowing runners to get in behind.

    Conclusion? It's tense in Tbilisi.

Tom Lawrence got his positioning all wrong there. It's in between his feet. It was great hold-up play but he has to be hitting the target.

Wales are getting closer but I do feel that Georgia are getting more confident when going forward too.

  14. CLOSE!published at 36 mins

    Georgia 0-0 Wales

Another decent chance for Wales! Sam Vokes does well to take the ball back to goal and lay it into the path of Tom Lawrence, who drives it in left-footed but over the top. Lacking conviction?

  15. 'Wales outnumbered in midfield'published at 17:35 British Summer Time 6 October 2017

    Georgia 0-0 Wales

    Kevin Ratcliffe
Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Wales

Once again it was a midfield player making a run and getting in behind. The Welsh players need to keep with them.

That's twice now it has been Joe Ledley. Wales are getting outnumbered in midfield! It's too easy.

That is what happens when you only have two in midfield and there are three players against you making runs across.

It's a slow burner, the tension will only increase as time goes on. But that's two good chances now for Wales.

  17. CLOSE!published at 30 mins

    Georgia 0-0 Wales

Ethan Ampadu is warming up for Wales. He is another bright youngster, currently at Chelsea. Will he make his debut tonight?

Oh and that's close! Aaron Ramsey pops in an early cross, Sam Vokes gets ahead of his marker to meet it with a deft touch and that's agonisingly close! Just wide.

Free-kick Wales. Gareth Bale sort of areas. Joe Ledley takes it, and it's poor and cleared.

  19. 'Georgia could cause problems'published at 17:29 British Summer Time 6 October 2017

    Georgia 0-0 Wales

    Kevin Ratcliffe
Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Wales

The Georgians are not doing too bad up until the 18-yard box. It's just that final ball because otherwise they could cause some problems.

Wales just need to be a little bit more together across the pitch.

To explain, Joe Ledley was without a club all summer, and was only signed by Derby at the end of September. Whether he was waiting for the perfect move or didn't get as many offers as he'd hoped, I don't know. But it does mean that he missed the first six weeks of the season.
