  6. 'Rangers don't need sub-plots'published at 19:32 British Summer Time 13 October 2017

I'm not surprised by anything Pedro Caixinha says now. Rangers don't need these sub-plots every week. Concentrate on winning on the pitch. He seems to always want to say something controversial. I don't know if he thinks he is being clever or playing mind games. To claim Tommy Wright had a mole in the Rangers camp, and to say it in the press, is ridiculous.

  8. Accies stung by fraudpublished at 19:26 British Summer Time 13 October 2017

Secondly, these are worrying times for Hamilton as they announce that they have been defrauded and have lost a "substantial sum".

The Scottish Professional Football League chief executive Neil Doncaster said: "Hamilton Academical have informed us that they have been the victim of a sophisticated financial fraud and that Police Scotland are carrying out an investigation.

"This is clearly a very serious and unfortunate situation and everyone in the game will hope it can be resolved quickly."

  10. Back to basics at the backpublished at 19:16 British Summer Time 13 October 2017

    St Johnstone v Rangers (19:45)

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha thinks his team "need to get back to the basics of defending".

"That's what we have been focused on," he said. The boys did great the previous week when we trained much more intensively.

"This week we have focused on the principles of what we want and expect from the game. What we expect is: don't let the opponent play their own game, and we want to play our game.

"After these couple of weeks, I think we are much more solid as a team if we defend better and concede less goals, because the difference of the goals scored is almost nothing from the teams that are leading the league.

"We want to keep going in attack but we want to improve defending, so that's what we have been working on these two weeks."

  11. Davidson seeks Saints bouncepublished at 19:14 British Summer Time 13 October 2017

    St Johnstone v Rangers (19:45)

Murray Davidson, Saints' classy midfielder, had this to say about tonight's match when he spoke to the media earlier in the week:"We were well short against Aberdeen - we knew that right after the game.

"We didn't do well enough in a lot of areas. It's been a long couple of weeks after a defeat and the international break.

"We've got a chance to put it right on Friday, to go and get a positive result.

"What better way is there to bounce back than getting a result against Rangers? We know we're capable. If we learn the lessons from Pittodrie, we'll be OK."
