If England had been open and attack-minded, they could have been two or three down by now. Against teams like this, you just can't do that.

How can anyone take this game seriously! It's an almost completely second-string England playing a flat 4-4-2 against a very strong Brazil team. There's no way England can hold the ball or create anything with that line-up and formation. Get some perspective.

Neither keeper has had a shot to save which is worthy of the title. It's not been the most thrilling of halves.

Hart's not been tested, he's had the ball at his feet a lot and he has done OK. The one disappointment with Brazil has been their finishing.

Re Tim south west London - If our established players aren't good enough now then what hope is there? Brazil are playing with so much intensity these young players will learn more now than ever before.

  6. Disappointment for Loftus-Cheekpublished at 20:43 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2017

    England 0-0 Brazil

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

Real shame that Ruben Loftus-Cheek had to go off because he has been one of the big plus points for England manager Gareth Southgate in this international break.

Loftus-Cheek will be disappointed how this night has ended - but he has certainly played himself into World Cup contention.

    Dafydd Pritchard

That was a promising half in parts from Wales, with young trio Ethan Ampadu, Ben Woodburn and particularly David Brooks catching the eye.

However, chances have been at a premium and Sam Vokes will be kicking himself after his relatively tame penalty was saved by Jaime Penedo in the Panama goal.
