    England 0-0 Brazil

Brazil have had 68% of the possession and the pressure is telling - as the ball comes to Harry Maguire he just launches it out of play. Sunday league.

TIME! That's what happens when you have to concentrate so much on defending.

I've never seen the logic of having a look at new players in friendlies against high quality opposition. Since that's closer to the level of the tournament teams, don't we want to be measuring up our established players? What do we learn from players with tens of caps grinding out a 2-0 win over Slovenia? Blood the youngsters and new faces in home qualifiers against minnows: competitive matches but in non hostile environments. Then rate our best XI against top teams. If they underwhelm, at least the newer players have had useful experience when they're called upon! Sorry rant over.

What skill by Neymar with the outside of his left foot. England are chasing and chasing, they're very disciplined and while Joe Hart has had little to do, Brazil are in total control.

Brazil are just knocking it around, 15 to 20 passes at a time, England just have to stick at it.

Ridiculous pass from Neymar! Outside of the left boot, loads of swerve, Gabrel Jesus takes it in his stride but he was just offside.

    That was brilliant though.

Plenty of lovely touches from Brazil but England holding firm. The only surprise so far - so far - is the wayward long-range shooting from Tite's side.

Really good atmosphere inside Wembley and good entertainment so far.

Lovely feet from Tom Lawrence as he skips past a defender to run into the area but his final touch is a yard too strong and the chance is gone.
