This is what we picture with a Brazilian side - flair. They had Fred up front three years ago, they didn't have it then.

Neil Harris: As exciting as a new young England is to me, let's not crucify these lads when Brazil fire many goals past them tonight. That front 3 looks awesome, they could beat any defence

Neil Baker: Can't believe some so called fans are still slating Southgate & @England, external for the squads he picks, just because Brazil or any other team start their best 11 why should we? He probably knows his best 11 but what about the other 14 players that he has to take?!!

Ian Dunn: Do you get the feeling that Joe Hart will be the busiest England player tonight?

  7. Patchy crowd in Cardiffpublished at 19:43 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2017

    Wales v Panama (19:45 GMT)

    Dafydd Pritchard

With kick-off nearing, the most charitable description of the crowd at Cardiff City Stadium would be 'patchy'.

The sight of sell-out crowds has become commonplace for Wales games in recent years, but safe to say this friendly against Panama has not quite captured the imagination.

Those who have braved the south Walian rain will at least get a look at the future of Welsh football.

After making their debuts from the bench against France on Friday, Chelsea’s 17-year-old defensive midfielder Ethan Ampadu and Sheffield United forward David Brooks, 20, are handed their first starts – as is Liverpool’s 18-year-old forward Ben Woodburn, earning his sixth cap.

Brazil have vastly experienced players, and looking at their substitutes bench it looks better than our team in terms of experience and quality. It's a big test for our boys tonight.

A Brazilian Samba band - complete with dancers - is currently doing a lap of the Wembley track. Very colourful. Very noisy. Very entertaining.

As is the Brazilian journalist on his feet in the press box joining in with the dancing and singing.

Can only be a visit from Brazil and the Wembley crowd loved it.

Johnny Magrinho: If Brazil want to entertain tonight, we could easily get humiliated. They are incredibly strong up front - Jesus, Coutinho, Neymar...We have Loftus-Cheek, Rashford and Vardy. Right.

This Brazil team have more than enough ability to humble us tonight. We have a concentration problem, and Brazil have players who are exceptional off-the-ball. That’s not a good match-up for us. Hoping our defenders can step up, but I don’t see us scoring either.

Gareth Southgate gave five players their first cap on Friday but said yesterday that sometimes the first game for England is easier than the second.

Tonight from the start he hands Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Joe Gomez their second caps, so one of the questions of the night will be how they follow up their promising debuts.
