The visitors have been the dominant side in terms of possession, but neither side have been able to create any clear-cut opportunities. Saints keen to get the ball to Stefan Scougall and Michael O’Halloran at every opportunity, but they have been well marshalled by a stern looking County rearguard.

Thomas Mikkelsen is ploughing a lone furrow up front for the visitors but being supported by Ryan Dow whenever the ball is played forward.

This is not a thing of beauty, I must say. However, Accies have begun to edge their way into the game without troubling Tomas Cerny in the Thistle goal. The artificial surface is doing the players no favours in trying to create any kind of watchable spectacle.

  8. HALF-TIME Scotland 2-0 Albaniapublished at 20:20 British Summer Time 24 October 2017

It has been a comfortable first 45 minutes from Scotland.

They have rarely been troubled, but Shelley Kerr will be a little concerned with how many chances they have passed up against Albania.

    Hamilton Academical 0-0 Partick Thistle

    Alasdair Lamont

Thistle certainly the better side in the opening exchanges without having managed to break the deadlock. The home fans have begun to murmur their discontent as well as screaming in vain for a penalty as Jordan Turnbull clambered all over Greg Docherty.

It is a wonderful second from Scotland. Chloe Arthur thumps a 40-yard shot that rattles the crossbar.

Fiona Brown reacts quickest to the rebound and rifles in a left-foot shot that gives goalkeeper Marigona Zani no chance.
