    Sheff Utd 0-0 Birmingham City

Birmingham City's Jota is upended by the elbow of Cameron Carter-Vickers. I'm not sure if it's deliberate, but the Spaniard lies on the floor in some pain for quite a while.

Fun fact, it's the second time he's played at Bramall Lane this season. He started for Brentford here on the opening day of the campaign before his move to the West Midlands.

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Birmingham City

Billy Sharpe is, well, not so much brought down by Cheikh N'Doye but falls over the ball as they both go for it.

A free-kick is given to the hosts. Both sides just sussing each other out in these early stages.

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Birmingham City

Leon Clarke gives chase to a speculative high ball into the box but it rolls too far and out for a goal kick.

The Sheffield United striker will be looking to add to the 7,000 goals* he's scored so far this season.

Whereas Birmingham City's opponents this evening cannot stop scoring, Blues fans have had little to cheer about of late.

They have scored just once in their last six games and just nine times in total in the Championship so far this season - the lowest goal haul in the league.

But is tonight the catalyst to kickstart their assault on the table? Che Adams, who scored their last goal, might want to add to his five goals scored this season.

  8. Leon Clarke: Goal machinepublished at 17:25 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

Sheff Utd v Birmingham City (17:30 GMT)

Sheffield United striker Leon Clarke is enjoying the best form of his career at the minute and the stats make for some impressive reading.

Not content with scoring all four of the Blades' goals in their 4-1 win against Hull before the international break, Clarke added a goal against Burton last weekend and a hat-trick in their 5-4 home defeat by Fulham in midweek.

That's a whopping eight goals in three games. It took him 24 games to reach that target last season.

As a Wolves fan, I just wish he had this sort of return during his two spells with us..

  9. Team news - Birmingham Citypublished at 17:23 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

Sheffield United v Birmingham City (17:30 GMT)

Birmingham City's former Sheffield United striker Che Adams starts off the bench, having struggled with a hamstring injury during the week, while midfielder David Davis misses out.

Birmingham City: Stockdale, Roberts, Morrison, Dean, Nsue, Ndoye, Kieftenbeld, Grounds, Jota, Jutkiewicz, Boga.

Subs: Adams, Gallagher, Maghoma, Cotterill, Kuszczak, O'Keeffe, Gleeson.

  10. Team news - Sheffield Unitedpublished at 17:21 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

Sheff Utd v Birmingham City (17:30 GMT)

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder names an unchanged side to the one that was beaten in 5-4 in Tuesday's Championship thriller at Bramall Lane.

So, same team, same venue, different result?

Sheffield United: Blackman, Carter-Vickers, Wright, O'Connell, Basham, Lundstram, Duffy, Fleck, Stevens, Clarke, Sharpe.

Subs: Moore, Donaldson, Hanson, Stearman, Lafferty, Brooks, Curruthers.

The Blades start the game in third, eight points behind leaders Wolves but will cut that advantage to five with all three points.
