    Crystal Palace 0-1 Watford

Wilfried Zaha is an unhappy man. He has a penalty appeal waved away and then is lucky perhaps not to be booked for chopping down a player in midfield.

Palace yet to build up any sort of steam.

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2017

    Burnley 0-0 Stoke

The prospect of magical Champions League nights under the lights at Turf Moor seems a million miles away after a goalless first half, where the visitors had the better of the action. Peter Crouch hit the post early on and Kurt Zouma hit a shot straight at Nick Pope, while the hosts have struggled to threaten Jack Butland at the other end on a wet and blustery night. File under 'one for the purist'.

    Huddersfield 0-1 Chelsea

N'Golo Kante can do so much, but he can't really rattle in left-footed from 25 yards. A chance falls his way from a half-cleared corner but he can only find the stands.

  5. Postpublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Watford

Time to give out a bit of credit - Scott Dann got the slightest of touches to that Richarlison cross a few minutes ago, and that is why Troy Deeney didn't make it 2-0.

Reprieve for Deeney. Credit to Dann.

There is an icy sleet powering down on the Turf Moor pitch.

Burnley are beginning to settle into the game after a shaky start. There is a lot riding on this game with Sean Dyche hoping to move into the top four tonight.

I'd love to write more and give you a longer update, but my fingers are frozen!

    We feel your pain Conor.

It is fair to say Tiemoue Bakayoko has found life a bit of a struggle since his £40m move to Chelsea from Monaco last summer.

The French midfielder replaced Nemanja Matic in Antonio Conte's squad but was substituted at half-time against West Ham on Saturday after another ineffective display.

At 22, Bakayoko has time on his side but he needs a few more interventions like that one to restore faith in his abilities.

Oooh that is close! Scott Dann rises well to meet a header from about 12 yards out, it bounces and the spin almost takes it into the corner but the ball just checks away.

And then what a miss! Brilliant from Richarlison, absolute class after Yohan Cabaye messed it up in midfield, but Richarlison ghosts past his man on the left and puts a cross on a plate for Troy Deeney - he fluffs his finish, six yards out.

    Richarlison. What a player...

Bakayako unbelievably nets with a neat dink. Good reverse mockers by those Chelsea fans.

That's a really good goal and a wonderful run from Bakayoko. That's a really good finish, a wonderful dink into the far post. Chelsea have upped the pace and this time there's an end product.

GOAL - Huddersfield 0-1 Chelseapublished at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2017

    Tiemoue Bakayoko (23 mins)

    One for the critics...

Chelsea punish an error with brutal efficiency. Goalkeeper Jonas Lossl slips while clearing his lines and in a flash Chelsea are ahead.

Eden Hazard backheels into the path of Willian, he beats a player and plays in Tiemoue Bakayoko on the overlap, and he beats Lossl and the man on the line with a nice dinked finish.
