Hughes is very poor tactically defensively and first season relied on a Pulis drilled squad. We don’t look like we can keep a clean sheet and don’t have 2 goals a game in the squad on a weekly basis.

18 years as a Chelsea season ticket holder and Bakayoko is one of the worst players I’ve seen to wear the shirt (We’ve had some garbage in that time!) Being kept in by a £40m price tag, and keeping talent out of the team. Time-to-bakayoko me thinks..

  11. Hypocritical Jose?published at 19:34 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2017

    Sam Wallace
Chief football writer for The Daily and Sunday Telegraph on BBC Radio 5 Live

Jose slid on his knees when Porto got that win at Old Trafford in 2004, he did it at Anfield. I've quite enjoyed it over the years. If it comes to players celebrating - I quite like to see a bit of passion.

I don't condone them fighting but they all realised the significance of the game. Jose has celebrated in people's faces before and he knows it, so yes, he is being a hypocrite.

Roy Hodgson is probably still tearing his hair out at Christian Benteke's foolhardy decision to take that late penalty against Bournemouth, which sees Crystal Palace back at the bottom of the table ahead of this one.

There is definitely progress though - they are unbeaten in five games and have slowly got closer to the other strugglers when lots of people said they had no hope after no points and no goals from their first seven matches.

Watford's away form has been sparkling this season with four wins on the road, but recent trips to the capital have proved less fruitful - having lost their last four Premier League games in London, including last season's trip to Selhurst Park.

Heaton has been out since September

Injured Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton has been talking about manager Sean Dyche on BBC Radio 5 live: "He's fantastic, he's great to play for. What you see is what you get. I think this season you've seen us grow. We've created some fantastic chances and scored some great goals. We're not getting carried away, we feel like we've got a lot of momentum and we're deserving of where we are.

"Some of the football we've played has been great. We'll see where we can take it."

(Is he surprised clubs haven't tried to take Dyche) "I think inside the building there's been a few moments where we've thought teams might come and have a sniff, we're all delighted he's stayed."

(is Heaton hoping to be back for the World Cup) "The World Cup is where very player wants to be - that is certainly the plan."

Now look at his face: this is the man who takes the penalties.

    Crystal Palace programme

It’s fitting that Luka Milivojevic is on the front of tonight’s programme, I don’t think we’ll have a repeat of Saturday’s nonsense tonight but how important will those two dropped points be at the end of the season?

Palace will rise out of the bottom three with a win but Watford will fancy this - they’ve won four times away from home this season and have 13 away points, which is already more than they achieved last season.

  18. Free hit for Terriers?published at 19:21 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2017

After 16 games last season, Chelsea were six points clear at the top of the table and on course for their fifth Premier League title.

Given that Antonio Conte's side are now 14 points behind Manchester City it comes as little surprise that the Italian has thrown in the towel., external

Now their challenge is to finish in the top four, and that is a fight that could well go the distance.

They certainly can't afford another hiccup on the road against a Huddersfield side who stopped the rot with victory over Brighton and will view this game as something of a free hit.
