TheNathanHouse: What can you do to stop City? Stay tight, get amongst them one-on-one, bloody their noses a little and keep little space in behind. Then hope and pray all your christmases come at once.

David Moyes said from the start ‘work harder’, especially to the talented players like Arnautovic. He’s come into a relegation battle, so they have to be solid. Don’t concede – if you do that you have half a chance of nicking a goal at the other end.

Still nothing agreed regarding a possible takeover but talks are ongoing.

Newcastle need a lift, seven matches without a victory, but regardless of the result, Rafa Benitez is bound to be asked later about the amount of funds available to him in January.

It's crunch time in Newcastle's season, both on and off the field. No win in seven games, including six defeats, has left them two points above the drop zone, and with Arsenal and Manchester City to face before the end of the year.

Rafa Benitez desperately needs to strengthen in January, but with Mike Ashley in negotiations to sell the club to Amanda Staveley's group, it's uncertain who would foot the bill.

Sam Allardyce returns to Tyneside almost 10 years since Ashley ended his short Magpies reign. Since his appointment at Goodison the Toffees have tightened up defensively, with only Mohamed Salah scoring against them.

An away league win is long overdue, having gone 16 games without one.

Jed Michael: Get your least valuable player and get him to cause a massive punch up in the box. He knocks out 5 players, so de Bruyne, Sterling, Aguero, Sane and Silva all have to be replaced. The player gets sent off, but city can only make 3 subs so it's 10 v 9 in your favour.

Jon Evans: I would stop City by watching Stoke under Pulis. It was that approach which effectively ended Arsenal's supremacy all those years ago.

Andrew Jobson: Implement a managerial dress code into the league - only teams with managers wearing suits can win. There goes pep off to Spain again

With 59 changes made to Liverpool's starting line-up since the start of the season - 20 more than any other club - the reports about Mohamed Salah being a substitute, externaltonight shouldn't surprise. Frankly, it would raise more eyebrows if he DOES start.

The country's leading scorer left the bench to score twice at Stoke in the last midweek round of Premier League games, and he can always be thrown on again if Liverpool are somehow struggling to beat a West Brom side devoid of confidence.

Another winless game will bring an unwanted club record, external for the Baggies, but that won't worry Alan Pardew if his team takes a point home.
