    And breathe.

Jordon Ibe's effort is blocked metres from where it left his foot, and Brighton's efforts to break are ended by Simon Francis.

    That'll be a booking.

    Brighton 2-2 Bournemouth

Callum Wilson draws another save from Mat Ryan.

Brighton are making a complete hash of trying to defend their goal at the minute. They're dithering on the ball, giving Bournemouth chances.

It falls to Wilson inside the box, but it's a tight angle and comfortable for the keeper.

    Niche stat of 2018...

Callum Wilson now holds the Premier League record as the highest scoring player (16 goals) without assisting a single goal, overtaking Branko Strupar (15 goals, 0 assists).

    Brighton 2-2 Bournemouth

You have to say Bournemouth deserved that, and preceding the madness was a rampaging run from Charlie Daniels down the left that earned the Cherries their 12th corner.

Now their pouring forward again. Jordon Ibe tries to wriggle through, but is crowded out.

There were bodies absolutely everywhere, the ball bouncing around everywhere but it eventually falls into Callum Wilson's path and rolls agonisingly into the Brighton goal.

You can say Brighton were unlucky with that, but they've had their chances.

GOAL - Brighton 2-2 Bournemouthpublished at 14:05 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2018

    Callum Wilson (78 mins)

Is this the Premier League or Brighton recreation ground?

The hosts have about five chances to clear the ball, but instead lump it up in the air and it swirls around before dropping to Brighton defender Shane Duffy, who hammers a clearance against Bournemouth's Adam Smith.

It creeps to Cherries striker Callum Wilson, who throws a leg at it and wrongfoots goalkeeper Mat Ryan, watching the ball trickle over the line.

Absolute madness. The definition of "goalmouth scramble".

    Brighton 2-1 Bournemouth

Brighton have had 14 shots, Bournemouth 17... but it's the hosts that edge it 2-1 at the minute.

Not sure it could be any more open, so you'd fancy there'll be a few more chances before this one is out.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 75 mins

    Brighton 2-1 Bournemouth

Change for Brighton, who have been flagging a bit in the last few minutes.

It looks like Ezequiel Schelotto took a knock, and he'll be replaced by Bruno.

  10. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Brighton 2-1 Bournemouth

    Cracking game, this.

Plenty of chances at both ends - defending certainly isn't on trend so far in 2018.

  11. CLOSE!published at 73 mins

    Brighton 2-1 Bournemouth

    So close for Jordon Ibe.

He sidesteps beyond two would-be Brighton tacklers to make space on the edge of the box, and fires a low drive against the post from long-range.

It bounces back, ricochets off goalkeeper Mat Ryan and drops agonisingly wide.

    Brighton 2-1 Bournemouth

    Chris Sutton
Ex-Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 live

How many chances to Brighton need to win this game? It was brilliant from Izquierdo who runs the whole length of the pitch and just can't produce the finish. You've got to feel for Chris Hughton, they have to take their chances.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 70 mins

    Brighton 2-1 Bournemouth

Dan Gosling gets the nod from his boss. He dropped to the bench, with Eddie Howe saying the midfielder had flu today.

But he's on in place of Harry Arter for the last 20 minutes.

    Brighton 2-1 Bournemouth

Anthony Knockaert is loving it this afternoon.

Arms waving through the air like blue and white wind turbines, he tries to stoke up the Brighton crowd.

    They lap it up.

  15. CLOSE!published at 68 mins

    Brighton 2-1 Bournemouth

    Well, well, well.

Jose Izquierdo has just ran the length of the pitch, before seeing his shot saved by Asmir Begovic.

The Brighton winger picked the ball up on the edge of his own box from a Bournemouth corned and darted downfield like an Olympic sprinter.

One-on-one, inside the ox, draws the goalkeeper... saved! That could've put this one to bed.

Harrison: Bournemouth desperately need a defensive midfielder who is going to break up opposition counter attacks. We look vulnerable everytime Brighton break.

Mark: There's only one person running this show and has been all season for Brighton - Pascal Gross.

    Brighton 2-1 Bournemouth

    Clumsy challenge from Dale Stephens.

The Brighton defender charges into Jordon Ibe and Bournemouth win a free-kick. Charlie Daniels' effort is deflected wide and that will be a corner.

That looked like another penalty shout for Bournemouth - Glenn Murray dives in in reckless fashion, but Adam Smith goes down very easily. I'm not sure Murray even touched him...

    Brighton 2-1 Bournemouth

Oh dear, Eddie Howe was bemoaning his side shooting themselves in the foot in previous matches with silly mistakes.

Steve Cook has had a great game, but the centre half goes charging forward and gives it away - leaving a gaping hole in the Bournemouth back line.

Jose Izquierdo attacks it and Brighton work it wide to Anthony Knockaert, whose whipped delivery is headed away.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 60 mins

    Brighton 2-1 Bournemouth

    There's the change.

Nathan Ake is on for Marc Pugh.

We've been raving about Jose Izquierdo today, and here's the stat to back it up...

After creating just four goalscoring chances without an assist for Brighton in 706 Premier League minutes before today, Jose Izquierdo has assisted two goals in this match.
