    Matt Paterson

Oxford City fans rejoice! The sixth-tier side have just equalised for a second time and it's a deserved goal at Meadow Lane.

Magic of the FA Cup and that, eh?

Fantastic play from Notts County who are unfortunate not to go into a 3-1 lead.

Ryan Yates initially fires an effort on goal from long range which is parried away by Oxford City keeper Jack Stevens but Jon Stead can't quite tap in the rebound.

Eventually Terry Hawkridge joins the party but his shot goes wide.

What a crazy three minutes at Meadow Lane.

We've got a proper cup tie on our hands, here.

More from Hereford manager Peter Beadle and the city's rich FA Cup tradition.

"We still attach ourselves the previous club and its history, but we're writing our own history," he told Football Focus.

"We've had back-to-back promotions and even to reach the second round is a big thing for us. Hopefully the journey doesn't end today."

Peter Beadle will not shave until Hereford are knocked out of this season's FA Cup, hence the facial foliage that the Bulls' boss is sporting at Fleetwood today.

It's been a rough few years for Hereford fans - liquidation, reformation and two consecutive promotions for Hereford FC.

"Nobody wants to see their club go through what this club went through three years ago, but looking at where we are now, people sit back and say it was probably the best thing that could have happened," Beadle told Football Focus at the team's hotel this morning.

"We could reform, restart and have true Hereford supporters in charge of the club again Hopefully we can keep climbing the ladder and get to where we were previously."

Hereford are back in the mix and back on the telly.

I'm sure it's about 27 years since I played against the old Hereford in Division Four when I was at Cambridge. Something like this will really help the club get back to where it needs to be.

As a club who have not yet celebrated their third birthday, Hereford FC are comfortably the newest team left in this year's FA Cup.

Despite being formed after Hereford United's demise in the High Court in December 2014, the seventh-tier side are not short on cup history.

The heroic tale of Ronnie Radford's equaliser and Ricky George's extra-time winner against top-flight Newcastle United in 1972 put Edgar Street's mudbath on the map.

Now the new Hereford meet Football League opposition for the first time with a visit to League One Fleetwood, a club who have experienced their own rise up English football's pyramid.

And with that, the first half ends in today's early FA Cup second round tie.

It's been quite a scrappy game so far but Notts County let their quality show with Richard Duffy's goal breaking down Oxford City's defence.

But it's all to play for in the second half. Can the visitors find an equaliser to ensure they're in the hat for Monday's third-round draw?

Notts County win a free-kick in a dangerous position and look to double their lead as we approach half-time at Meadow Lane.

But Carl Dickinson sends it straight into the Oxford City wall.
