Diogo Jota look a bit like Basil Fawlty - he's got some cotton wool stuffed up his left nostril after a flailing arm from Lukas Jutkiewicz caught him in the face.

It's his 21st birthday today - what a lovely gift.

"Up until that goal, Birmingham City had been in good shape.

"Credit to Stockdale he made two great saves, and he almost got his body across the third."

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 11 mins

    Marc Roberts

Marc Roberts goes in the book after a nasty-looking challenge on Diogo Jota.

He's a lucky boy - he went right through him and could easily have seen a red.

Perhaps if it had been later in the game we might have been talking about a different colour?

Leo Bonatini gets his 12th of the season with the help of the goalline technology. Wolves break forward - the first shot from Ivan Cavaleiro is saved, as is the second from Diogo Jota by David Stockdale before Bonatini blasts one from close range. City defender Michael Morrison clears it off the line but the whole of the ball had crossed over it.

Wolves' number two Matt Doherty has been with the club since 2010 and he's really found his feet this season.

The Republic of Ireland international was player of the season in 2015-16.

"We all knew about Matt Doherty, he was player of the season a few years back, but he knows what his role is completely now.

"Getting forward as right-back, now in this system, as more-or-less a wing-back, it suits him down to the ground."

Wolves legend, Mel Eves, thinks the game won't be as easy for Wolves as many might assume.

The Blues have a good record against the 'bigger' clubs so far this season.

"The Blues lads can do it, they get up for the big games which I expect them to do at St Andrew's, I think the crowd will get behind them, Steve Cotterill's a top manager, I don't expect anything other than a really tough game for Wolves.

"Wolves are a difficult nut to crack, they're very positive going forward, they've scored lots of goals, but they don't concede many either, Nuno's got them well orgainised.

"I think this is going to be a really interesting game. Blues will be up for it."

Two fierce rivals are ready to do battle in tonight's derby, but for Wolves, boss Nuno Espirito Santo isn't letting emotions cloud the task at hand.

"It's a special game between two big clubs, the neighbour club, so it's special.

"I've been involved in many, I believe the best way is that when you are able to deal with your emotions you are better prepared."

  16. Tough run of games for Bluespublished at 19:33 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2017

Birmingham City v Wolves (19:45 GMT)

Steve Cotterill's last three games for the Blues have been against Sheffield United, Middlesborough and Nottingham Forest.

His side have picked up four points from nine against the three sides who are all in contention for the play-off spots.

"I'm under no illusion about the position we're in.

"Once we get this game [Wolves] out of the way, out of my first nine games have been six out of the top nine that we've played.

"I think five out of the top seven, we've played all of the top four since I've been here, once we tick the box with Wolves.

"There is no easy game in the Championship but when you look at perhaps the games that we've had, there has been a tough run of games."

  18. Derbies galore in FA Cup third roundpublished at 19:28 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2017

The main headline is undoubtedly Liverpool hosting Everton in a Merseyside derby in the third round of the FA Cup - they last met in 2009 when Dan Gosling got the only goal in a replay.

But aside from that there are some other decent derby matches - Middlesbrough host Sunderland and Brighton go to Crystal Palace.

Non-league AFC Fylde will go to Premier League Bournemouth if they can get past Wigan Athletic in their replay, while Hereford could host Leicester City if they can beat Fleetwood Town.

Elsewhere Arsenal go to Nottingham Forest, Manchester City host Burnley and Chelsea visit Norwich.

News from the FA Cup third-round draw and Wolves can show their Premier League credentials next month after drawing Swansea City at home.

The Swans are bottom of the top flight, so Wolves will see it as a very winnable game - especially if Paul Clement opts to rest some of his key players to concentrate on the fight against relegation.

Meanwhile, Birmingham City have got a home draw against fellow Championship strugglers Burton Albion - perhaps the first step on repeating the success of 1956, when they last reached the final.

So, that surely all points to an away win then? Don't count on it.

Birmingham have raised their game against the division's high-flyers this season, especially at St Andrew's, and have won both their Championship games when they've faced the side at the top of the table - beating Bristol City in August and Cardiff last month.
