    Hull 0-0 Brentford

Hull haven't had much of the ball in the opening stages against Brentford, though they have threatened early on.

Kamil Grosicki was denied by a strong challenge from Yoann Barbet, while Seb Larsson has wasted a crossing chance after getting space on the right.

The hosts need to be a bit more careful in defence though, as Ryan Woods has just fired wide from 25 yards out for the visitors.

    Luton 0-0 Notts County

Chances at both ends in the game between first and second in League Two.

Luke Berry has an effort blocked for league leaders Luton, before Nots County's Ryan Yates has a header well saved by Hatters keeper Marek Stech.

Yates goes close again moments later, heading a corner wide of the post.

    Wolves 0-0 Sunderland

Wolves have made a bright start.

Barry Douglas and Ivan Cavaleiro have both seen shots fly wide for the hosts.

Nuno's men have scored 24 goals at Molineux this season - you wouldn't bet against them adding to that tally.

    Fulham 0-0 Birmingham City

There are 4,074 Birmingham fans at Craven Cottage today. That's more than 400 for every league goal the Blues have scored so far this season.

Can they reverse the form guide and pick up a win at Fulham for the third season in a row?

The struggling visitors have looked okay so far.

While most teams target an immediate return to the Premier League following their relegation, Nigel Adkins has accepted his first priority as Hull head coach must be to avoid a further drop into League One.

"The position we are in the division is in a relegation battle," he said.

"We’ve got to change that round, we’ve got to win games of football but we’ve just got to focus on how we’re going to win games of football, that process.

"For the foreseeable future, if we’re level or in front or even behind in the last 10 minutes of the game there’s going to be a nervousness about us because of the late goals we’ve conceded.

"That’s going to take a period of time to change, the only way that’s going to change is over a period of time not conceding in the dying minutes of a game."

This Birmingham fan has been working on his crossword for half the season, and hasn't missed much excitement on the pitch.

Today, the lowest-scoring side in the EFL are at Fulham's Craven Cottage - a relatively happy hunting ground for them in recent years - as they bid to move out of the bottom three.

For inconsistent Fulham, who are looking for a third win in four games, today represents a chance to move back up in to the top half, as they try to rediscover the form they showed in the latter half of 2016-17.

Seven Championship games without a win and just 18 goals in 20 matches - Norwich's season is stumbling.

The man at the helm, Daniel Farke, is one of the coolest looking characters you will ever see - but surely the German is beginning to feel the heat now?

Today's late kick-off sees the Canaries host Sheffield Wednesday who have drawn their last four fixtures.

Gary Smee will take you through that one, which begins at 17:30 GMT, after all the 15:00 fun.

  19. Adkins faces tough first testpublished at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

    Hull v Brentford (15:00 GMT)

In most years, 20th hosting 11th wouldn't be the first fixture you'd look towards on a December weekend's schedule.

Ordinarily, however, the team in 20th wouldn't have been in the Premier League last season, might not have sacked one manager, and might also not have just appointed a man out of football for 18 months as their new boss.

Today, Nigel Adkins' Hull City take on Brentford in his first game in charge, with the Bees having lost just once in their past 12 matches.
