    Cardiff 0-1 Fulham

Second-placed Cardiff almost fall 2-0 behind, but live to fight another day.

Fulham skipper Tom Cairney tries his luck from outside the box, curling the ball oh so close to Neil Etheridge's far post.

    League One latest

There has been a change at half-time at Oldham, where the hosts are playing out a goalless draw against Fleetwood, but it's not a player who's been replaced.

Referee Mark Heywood is unable to continue, with Steven Rushton taking over his duties for the second half.

Elsewhere, there have been early goals for Scunthorpe and Wimbledon.

    Hull 0-0 Derby

If Hull don't claim all three points this afternoon I fear Jon Toral will be left kicking himself.

He spurned a great chance in the second half and this time manages to blaze the ball over when put through on goal inside the area.

Toral only had Scott Carson to beat...

  4. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 1-0 Boltonpublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2017

    Martin Braithwaite (49 mins)

Something to please the onlooking Tony Pulis in the stands - Middlesbrough have taken the lead early in the second half.

Martin Braithwaite, who missed a good chance earlier in the match, fires in an angled shot which takes a deflection and flies over goalkeeper Ben Alnwick into the net.

    Burton 1-0 Leeds

The Brewers have picked up where they left off before the interval, with an opportunity.

Marvin Sordell creates space for himself inside the box and his curling shot is only just wide of the Leeds goal.

Thomas Christiansen needs to work his magic with to get the visitors back into this.

  6. Second half under waypublished at 16:03 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2017

That takes us down to 30 EFL matches to keep across for the next 45 minutes.

I'd like to see a few more goals - only Blackpool's game against Scunthorpe has seen both teams score so far.

    Breaking

    Exeter 0-0 Forest Green

They managed 45 minutes at St James Park, but referee Brett Huxtable has called off the League Two game between Exeter and Forest Green after inspecting the pitch at half-time.

The first half ended goalless - there has been an awful lot of rain in Devon both today and yesterday, so perhaps that news is hardly surprising.

    • Wolves were held to a 2-2 draw at Millwall in the day's early kick-off, but went eight points clear at the top of the table.
    • Tim Ream's early header has put second-placed Cardiff behind at home to Fulham.
    • Burton lead Leeds 1-0 with a goal from Tom Naylor and are heading for a third straight league win.
    • Managerless Sheffield Wednesday are 2-0 up at Nottingham Forest, while new Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis is in the stand watching his new side drawing 0-0 against struggling Bolton.

    Burton 1-0 Leeds

Burton Albion, you really should be 2-0 up.

Jamie Allen does so well initially with a forward run but he shoots instead of feeding Lloyd Dyer and the chance is missed.

    His decision-making was lacking there.

GOAL: Nottingham Forest 0-2 Sheffield Wednesdaypublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2017

    Jordan Rhodes (pen, 45 mins)

Morgan Fox goes down in the Nottingham Forest box, and up steps Jordan Rhodes to slot the penalty into the bottom corner.

Sheffield Wednesday might just be heading for three points in their first game under caretaker boss Lee Bullen.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Bolton

Middlesbrough should lead just before half-time.

Patrick Bamford charges through on goal, but Ben Alnwick gets down quickly to push his shot around the post.

That was a terrific save from the Bolton keeper.

    Bristol City 0-0 Reading

Is Bristol City's Marlon Pack lucky to still be on the pitch?

The midfielder, already booked, is penalised for a foul on Modou Barrow - but no card is given on this occasion.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:42 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2017

    Hull 0-0 Derby

Take a bow Allan McGregor - the keeper is being mobbed by his Hull team-mates for a great reflex save.

Some might argue it was straight at him but the Scot tips Andreas Weimann's powerful header over from close range.

    How important might that be?

    CLICHE ALERT: Goals change games.

It's certainly true here though - before going ahead Leeds were having it all their own way, but since Tom Naylor's finish Burton have grown markedly in confidence.

I think the visitors would settle for the half-time whistle right now...

    Bristol City 0-0 Reading

Bristol City are starting to turn the screw - remember as things stand there's an opportunity for Lee Johnson's men to move into second place.

Defender Aden Flint is a goal machine and has been in the thick of the action - most recently heading over Hordur Magnusson's cross.

The best chance of the game at the Riverside!

Danish forward Martin Braithwaite uses his pace to get behind the Bolton defence, but pulls his shot wide of the target.

Sheffield United 1-0 Sunderland, Birmingham 0-1 Norwich

Norwich were booed off after Friday's home defeat by Brentford, but Alex Pritchard has given the Canaries the lead at lowly Birmingham from a well-worked free-kick.

Sheffield United haven't won in six games but they're in front against Sunderland - John Lundstram the scorer from Mark Duffy's cross.
