Frank Fielding's red card helped, and after Barry Douglas' equaliser it was Wolves looked the more likely winners.

City boss Lee Johnson was remonstrating with the officials at full-time - probably about the debatable handball decision against Wolves defender Willy Boly inside the box which didn’t go in his side’s favour.

Wolves win a remarkable game and go TEN points clear at the top of the Championship.

Sunderland climbed out of the Championship relegation zone with a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest, Chris Coleman's third victory in eight game since taking charge at the Stadium of Light.

"It was the overall performance that pleased me, because there was a lot of intent," Coleman said.

"Some of the defending was stunning. I thought all the lads were absolutely fantastic.

"Forest are a good passing team if you let them get on top of you, but we never let them."

Cavaleiro has made such a difference for the Championship leaders.
