Arsene Wenger is a bit late to emerge from the concourse, only just now taking his seat in the stands.

The players are back out, no changes for either side.

Johnny Magrinho: Everyone’s saying Arsenal need to replace Ozil & Sanchez but I’m sorry they need to replace Lacazette. He keeps showing week in, week out that he’s not good enough at this level. What a poor signing he really has been. Terrible bit of business by Wenger.

Ray O'Brien: Can someone please explain to me what Iwobi actually brings to the team? His shot power is pathetic, his passing isn't penetrative, and the few glimpses we get of his skill never lead to anything. If he's a starter it shows how bad Arsenal are.

Ryan Fraser and Jordon Ibe were very narrow to begin with, but in the latter stages of the first half they drifted out wide, which worked better, and they were able to get on the ball more and cause problems for Arsenal's defence. Bournemouth started off nice and tight, but they've become a bit more expansive and they've grown into the game.

Daniel Hodson: Blatant penalty for Bournemouth not given. Will Wenger moan about the ref today?

Nick Clohessey: Bournemouth want a penalty for handball against Iwobi when the free-kick was crossed in. However, it was never a free-kick out wide to begin with. The two bad decisions have cancelled each other out.

Daniel Smith: That should have been a penalty.

Just the one minute added on at the end of a relatively uneventful half.

But just before that chance Bournemouth had a very strong call for a penalty, replays showing Jordon Ibe's free-kick being blocked by Alex Iwobi's arm.

That would certainly have been a job for VAR...

Vital intervention by Calum Chambers to deny Bournemouth. The Gunners defence was stretched for the first time and Jordon Ibe's ball across the box runs through to the unmarked Dan Gosling. He takes a touch, giving Chambers just enough time to slide across and block the shot.

Shkodran Mustafi heads over from a corner as Arsenal up the pressure with half-time approaching.

Danny Kidd: Sanchez and Ozil saw the state of the club two years ago, and no wonder they didn’t sign! That’s down to Wenger and his non-investment!

Hossain: Can someone please tell me what Welbeck brings to Arsenal? He doesn't score enough goals and he spends the majority of the game on the deck.

Arsenal have been better than I thought they were going to be, and Bournemouth have offered a lot less than I thought they would. The home side haven't done a lot going forward, they seem mostly concerned with stopping Arsenal, which they have done so far. A decent game though.

Best opportunity so far as Danny Welbeck bundles his way past Simon Francis and stabs the ball goalwards. Asmir Begovic makes the block, the ball runs loose to Alexandre Lacazette, who shoots but Steve Cook is on the goalline to mop up.

Alexandre Lacazette is not really getting into positions where he can threaten the Bournemouth goal at the moment.

It's been a half very light on chances so far.
