It's so uncharacteristic to see Celtic give the ball away so often in their own half. They normally show such composure but they're getting caught by the Rangers press.

First foray forward for Rangers in a while, after Scott Brown gives the ball away. But Alfredos Morelos, on the left side of the penalty area, sends a timid shot dribbling wide of the left post.

Thumping header from Scott Brown in a challenge with Jason Holt. As you'd expect, the Celtic captain is up for this one.

If you look at the Rangers team, if there's one player you would like to get a lot of ball, it would be Windass out on the left.

But you've got to get a hold of the ball first and get him into the game. Up against Mikael Lustig, he's got the legs, he's a decent player and there's a goal in him also.

Rangers need to make sure they don't concede that first goal. Because of the intensity of their play, they've done ever so well, but switched off from set plays, allowing Boyata and Sinclair efforts on goal.

If they want to remain in this game they cannot concede because Celtic can smell blood. They've created two, three, really positive opportunities in the last five minutes.

A setback for Rangers, with captain Bruno Alves hobbling off after landing heavily. David Bates comes on to replace him.

"I thought Foderingham made a real mess of trying to get rid of it," says former Rangers striker Steven Thompson. "He throws it straight at the feet of Sinclair, who you're expecting just to smash it, but he doesn't catch his shot at all well and luckily for Rangers it goes into Foderingham's arms."

Former Celtic goalkeeper Pat Bonner adds: "I'm looking at where the ball ended up from the free-kick, five-six yards from goal and I'm expecting the goalkeeper to come out and punch it well clear, take the pressure off. Celtic had a free header on goal."

Double save from Wes Foderingham, the second at point-blank range from Scott Sinclair while lying on the goal-line. Amazing escape for Rangers.

"Best chance of the game, no doubt about that. Brilliant counter-attack down the left, Sinclair and Tierney getting behind Tavernier, and you'd put your money on James Forrest scoring that."

Great chance for James Forrest, who weaves his way into the Rangers penalty area but his left-foot shot from eight yards is deflected wide of the right-hand post.

It was a good header from Boyata, and you're just expecting Dembele to score. He just couldn't get enough purchase on the ball with the sole of his foot to put it past Foderingham. Big chance.

Dedryck Boyata gets up for a free-kick and nods it on to Moussa Dembele, whose close-range snap-shot is saved by Wes Foderingham. End to end stuff.

Rangers centre-back Danny Wilson goes into the book for a late challenge on Celtic's Stuart Armstrong.

Mikael Lustig called into defensive action again, intercepting a dangerous cross from Daniel Candeias heading in the direction of Josh Windass.

Decent approach work from Rangers down the right, Jason Holt cutting it back from the right flank, but a rattled-looking Mikael Lustig swings a left foot at it to clear.

Good start from the visitors this.

It comes from Scott Brown dithering on the ball in the middle of the park, it goes to Lustig and we asked the question, are Rangers going to press high? They pressed really high on Lustig there, who gave the ball away really cheaply.

A really good shot from Morelos that Craig Gordon only just got his hands to.

Big mistake from Mikael Lustig, who gives the ball away to Josh Windass. The midfielder might have had a go himself, but lays it off to his right to Alfredo Morelos, whose shot from a tight angle is saved by Celtic keeper Craig Gordon.

Straight up the other end. Scott Sinclair takes on James Tavernier on the left byline, but the Rangers full-back gets a toe to it and outs it behind for a corner.

It comes to nothing.

Promising run from Rangers left-back Declan John to the edge of the Celtic penalty area. But he steps back onto his right foot, and floats a woeful cross beyond everyone.
