Leicester City manager Claude Puel speaking to MOTD: "They have had some chances in the first half, but we deserved the result in the end, because we had a lot of chances in the game - we lost the two points. It was a good game for us, we showed a lot of quality, we played well, but if it were 11 v 11 I think we would have got the win.

"We played a good game, sometimes a fantastic game with our quality. Chelsea's players looked a little tired, but our play had good passes and good shifts between play, it was amazing to see us show this quality against Chelsea. We played against a great team, and in the end it's a little feeling of disappointment."

Bakary Sako has scored more goals in all competitions this season than any other Crystal Palace player. Golden.

It's just one defeat in 12 league games for Palace now. They go to Arsenal next weekend.

West Ham United

West Ham manager David Moyes: "We have a long way to go but the players have done brilliantly well since we came in and they did very well today.

"I'm really pleased with Marko Arnautovic. Everybody knew how good he was at Stoke City and maybe giving him a freer role up front has given him a chance to express himself.

"You need things to go for sure and we got that goal right after the kick-off.

"To be in that position, alongside those great managers is good and I'm just glad I have managed to win a few.

"Andy Carroll wasn't fit. We decided not to bring him to the game today because we have a game on Tuesday.

"The board know - and they want to add a few players - it's just the difficulty of the month. We want to add players if that is possible."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson: "It was a massive three points. We knew it would be very, very tough. In the first half we created chances to make life more comfortable for us in the second half.

"We knew they would gets stronger and more questions would be asked of our back four and goalkeeper. I'm delighted we were able to withstand that test. They are very good at what they do, a strong team, a physical team.

"At least now we can look at the league table for a week or two without shivers running down our spine."

Are you looking up now? "No. We are looking to survive. Every three points is three points closer. Everyone at this club, fans, directors, coaches, we will be delighted if at the end of the season we are a point above the relegation zone. We will never waiver from that.

"Today the three points was everything and we got them."

Crystal Palace

The goalscorer - Bakary Sako - speaks to BBC Sport: "I think we should have won by two or three but we did well to keep a clean sheet.

"I'm back in shape after injury and trying to give my best. The manager has confidence in me and I'm trying to give back.

"I'm definitely claiming the goal, that's mine, 100%.

"We should have killed the game but the back four did brilliantly. The manager, since he's been here, he's talked about team spirit has to be 100% and we are trying to do that."

Leicester City

Leicester defender Harry Maguire: "It certainly could have been more than three points from the way we played in the first-half. We created numerous chances - I don't think teams will often have as many chances away to a top six team and not score.

"We caused plenty of problems for their defence, and if we'd had 11 men on the pitch in the second half it might have been a different story, but it's a good clean sheet for us and a good point."

West Bromwich Albion

West Brom captain and goalscorer Jonny Evans: "It was a great feeling and there was a bit of pressure at the end of the game since it has been so long since we won.

"The early goal set us up and to get another win from the set-piece it felt great. Set-pieces are a strength of ours and we have spent time on them. It's good that it is paying off. Sometimes they are overlooked in football but it's paid off.

"It's been a difficult period for the manager. He is a positive guy and we all thought the win would come sooner. You could see we are pleased for him and the club as a whole."

Watford

Watford striker Troy Deeney told Sky Sports: "Obviously he's (Marco Silva) not happy (at half time). Our fans got on us at the end of the first half. The things we pride ourselves on were lacking in the first half. I just do as I'm told. Today the result was a nice touch but the fans deserve massive credit for what they did towards GT (Graham Taylor). He sadly passed away a year ago and that should be highlighted."

Did Doucoure handball it for his goal?

"I played the header so I didn't see that. It's one of them. They'll feel like it's a loss. VAR comes in we probably wouldn't get that but today we got it. It's the luck of the draw."

That was under-par from Chelsea, they were not at it in the first hour and it was all too little, too late.

Brilliant effort from Leicester, they worked very hard after they went down to 10-men, but Chelsea didn't create enough chances.
