    Yeovil 0-1 Man Utd

    Jermaine Jenas
Former Tottenham midfielder on 5 Live

United will try to control the tempo now and not get into a situation where it's end to end. They'll look to pick their opportunities to pick Yeovil off

  2. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2018

    Sheff Weds 2-0 Reading

Lovely effort! Reading hit the post as Leandro Bacuna bends a shot against the post from 20 yards. Very unlucky.

    Yeovil 0-1 Man Utd

Another nasty challenge on Alexis Sanchez as Omar Sowunmi lunges in on a bouncing ball and catches the Chilean on the top of the foot. The Manchester United man was just too quick.

Yeovil have a fighting chance, they acquitted themselves very well in the first half. If they show a bit more quality and conviction in the final third they could threaten.

United lead but still hope for Yeovil?

FezLes: Wow Lindelof looks poor! getting beat to every ball and doesn't look good enough to play for Yeovil never mind Man utd!!

kartik_venkat: Sanchez's passing stat on @EASPORTSFIFA, external to be reduced to 70?

  6. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2018

Another huddle and then we are away - can Yeovil fight back? A replay at Old Trafford would be worth ££££££££££££££££££.

GOAL - Sheff Weds 2-0 Readingpublished at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2018

    Atdhe Nuhiu (53 mins)

And that save proves massive, as Wednesday go straight down the other end and double their lead, that man again Atde Nuhiu poking in a cross from the left!

  8. CLOSE!published at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2018

    Sheff Weds 1-0 Reading

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, who scored a hat-trick in the last round, has a great chance to put Reading level but his shot is superbly saved by a sprawling Cameron Dawson.

Yep, those stats can be a bit misleading Tom. You can never give the ball away if you don't ever try anything.

Sanchez looks like he gives the ball away a lot. But I like the fact he is always looking for that killer pass. It's exactly what Utd need

Reading have only had one shot on target so far - that very good early chance for Dave Edwards. They need to raise it or they're going out.

What did you make of that first half?

OSullivanE: defensive mix up but they all count at this level. It had been coming. Good assist by @Alexis_Sanchez, external.

kesslers_curse: Great goal from Rashford, great to see young striker never giving up, seen so many forwards give up the ghost in those circumstances

chrisgllovell: As a Man Utd fan I genuinely feel for Yeovil Town. They don't deserve to be behind at half time in this game. The fan base and the entire town should be proud of how they are playing.

Alexis Sanchez has looked like Manchester United's best player. He has been quick and sharp and is their best attacking outlet. He is very difficult to pick up with the way he runs, strong, quick, direct, makes him so difficult to knock off the ball.

    Jermaine Jenas

It was a very good first half for Yeovil. To be honest, they've surprised me. They've got in their faces and not been fearful of coming up against some top players. They've got in some good positons but they've lacked a bit of belief and quality. But they're still in it, and that's the biggest compliment I can give them after 45 minutes

Alexis Sanchez lost possession 20 times in that first half - the next best/worst was 12 by Yeovil full-back Ryan Dickson.

Attacking players, wingers, do lose the ball more often though. Dribbling etc.

Yeovil were well in the game up until the opener. There were fine chances for Jordan Green and Omar Sowunmi - but if you don't take them, then sides like Manchester United will make you pay.

I make it five times that Alexis Sanchez gave the ball away in the first half, but he's been lively and played a part in the opening goal.

Marcus Rashford scored an opportunist goal like that at Northampton last year. He chases lost causes, expects mistakes, and gets his rewards.
