Whether you're the chief executive who's just sanctioned their wages or the fan who's just bought their replica shirt with his 50p-a-letter name on the back, it's fair to say Fleetwood Town's January signings are making a decent impression on the Cod Army.

New midfielder Toumani Diagouraga scored on his final appearance for Plymouth before moving to the Lancashire club, and has repeated the feat against Southend for Fleetwood.

Then Paddy Madden netted a second, another new arrival for Uwe Rosler's side. Good spending, lads and lasses.

    Hull City 0-0 Reading

Reading denied an opener by a fantastic double save by Allan McGregor.

Liam Moore sees his header stopped by his feet and then as the ball bounces up on the rebound, McGregor was back up on his feet to tip it over the crossbar and behind.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Fulham

Big appeal for a penalty for Middlesbrough but nothing given.

Martin Braithwaite goes to ground in the box under pressure from Tomas Kalas, but play continues.

Britt Assombalonga is off the bench for Boro, coming on for Rudy Gestede.

    Barnsley 0-0 Wolves

A tight first half at Oakwell yielded no goals but Championship leaders Wolves have started well in the second period.

Unsurprisingly, Wolves started the weekend as the division's leading scorers and you fancy they'll create some chances as they go in search of a 20th league win this season.

    THERE'S A GOAL!

Matej Vydra doubles Derby's lead against Birmingham and that sees the Czech back on top of the Championship scoring charts.

He latches on to a long ball from Tom Lawrence and thumps it home inside the area.

I've always wondered why Kevin is relatively popular Dutch name, but anyway, Scunthorpe are level in their top six tussle with Portsmouth and it's their Dutch master Kevin van Veen who popped up with the leveller.

Tom Hopper did the groundwork, Van Veen finished it off. The fourth-placed Iron are level on points with third-placed Blackburn as it stands. Pompey are sixth.

Still no goals at the Riverside and Jonny Howson has gone in the book for the hosts.

Back in action at St Andrews. Tom Huddlestone looks to double Derby's lead as he sizes up an efort from distance.

It sails well wide as Harlee Dean closes him down.

A tough afternoon so far for Luton Town fans, whose FA Cup hangover from the creditable defeat by Newcastle United has seen them tumble to a two-goal half-time deficit at struggling Chesterfield. Meanwhile, Lincoln and Notts County are 1-1 in a cracking derby.

Cup form seems to have helped Yeovil by the way... they've got Manchester United in the next round and it's inspired them so far. Francois Zoko's goal has given them a 1-0 lead at Port Vale.

Didn't have too many chances to mention the action at the Riverside in that first half, but that's not to say there weren't any chances.

The hosts probably should be ahead with Rudy Gestede himself having three attempts close to goal, the most recent a dink over Marcus Bettinelli when in on goal that just crept wide.

Stefan Johansen has come closest for Fulham but it remains goalless.

This East Midlands derby of sorts between Lincoln City and Notts County has had everything the last few minutes.

Prolific striker Jon Stead gave the Magpies the lead with his third in as many games, and the aftermath of that goal saw Lincoln boss Danny Cowley sent to the stand.

He'd barely got up to his seat away from the touchline before Lincoln levelled. Lee Frecklington behind it from inside the box.

GOAL: Millwall 1-0 Prestonpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Aiden O'Brien (43 mins)

As previously mentioned these two teams are draw specialists but Millwall might just have shrugged it off this afternoon after opening the scoring on their 2,000th home game in the EFL.

Jed Wallace did the work out wide before crossing for Aiden O'Brien to smash in despite being a little off-balance to put the Lions ahead.

They've had their jellied eels and their glass of beer, and now they've got their goal daaaaaaaaaaaaaahn the Den.
