Yeovil will host Manchester United, Notts will play either Swansea or Wolves, while Tottenham will be the visitors to Newport's Rodney Parade at the end of the month.

All three teams are on the road today - at Port Vale, Lincoln and Grimsby respectively - while leaders Luton go to struggling Chesterfield.

The Honduras international, who played for his country at the 2014 World Cup, passed away earlier this week from leukaemia aged 29.

  16. 'We saved Reading from administration,' says Adkinspublished at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Hull v Reading (15:00 GMT)

    Nigel AdkinsImage source, Getty Images

Hull boss Nigel Adkins faces one of his former clubs this afternoon when Reading come to town.

Adkins was in charge of the Royals towards the back-end of their last season in the Premier League, but could not prevent them dropping out of the top flight in 2013.

"We kept the football club from going into administration," he told BBC Radio Humberside.

"We helped change the culture. There were no owners suddenly once we got relegated, there was no money and we couldn't sign anyone.

"We got everyone playing well and missed out on the play-offs at the end of that next season. But, then we had to cut costs and play youngsters while still trying to find new owners.

"For me, that's one of the proudest achievements of my whole career. I'd like to think we did a lot of things behind the scenes to keep the club going and give them the opportunity to get new investment and new owners."

    Hull v Reading (15:00 GMT)

Hull City players celebrateImage source, Getty Images

Now, here's a fact to knock you off your stride this afternoon before the game between two under-achievers - Hull and Reading.

It seems Hull's struggles to find regular wins are all to do with letters in the alphabet, except one.

All five of the Tigers' wins this season have come against sides beginning with B:

    • Burton
    • Bolton
    • Birmingham
    • Barnsley
    • Brentford

It's only Bristol City that haven't had their name added to that group.

To stretch the point even further, who did Hull beat in the FA Cup third round last weekend? BLACKBURN!

Can Nigel Adkins break that chain and manufacture a much-needed W against a team beginning with R?

  18. Chasers meet in bid to maintain play-off pushpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Middlesbrough v Fulham (15:00 GMT)

    Tony PulisImage source, PA

Play-off chasers Middlesbrough and Fulham meet at the Riverside both hoping to pick up a fourth win in their past five games.

Tony Pulis will be looking for a first home win as Boro boss and the chance to end a rather sorry statistic of of no home win in six league matches as a manager, stretching back to August 2017 with West Brom.

Slavisa Jokanovic has seen his Fulham side knock in the goals of late, but will be somewhat concerned by the fact they have only kept two clean sheets in their past 21 league games.

But that might not matter when you consider no Championship side has scored more away goals than them this season, with leaders Wolves level on 22.

  19. Back to bread and butter for Johnson's cup heroespublished at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

Bristol City v Norwich City (15:00 GMT)

    Lee JohnsonImage source, PA

Bristol City return to Championship action after their midweek exploits against Manchester City in the Caraboa Cup semi-final first leg.

Lee Johnson's side won many plaudits for their display at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, but he knows a result is all that matters this afternoon following back-to-back Championship defeats at the end of the Christmas period.

They face a Norwich side with two wins from their past three and who still have a chance to mount a push towards the play-offs.

  20. 'No knee-jerk reaction from Derby'published at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

Birmingham City v Derby County (15:00 GMT)

    Natalie Jackson
    BBC East Midlands sports editor

Gary Rowett said when he took over at Derby that he was not concerned by what had happened previously and was ready to embrace the challenge.

Results have steadily improved, which has clearly helped, but Rowett has been both impressed and grateful for the backing he has received and feels everything is in place to achieve the long-standing goal of reaching the Premier League.

They have been talking about a new contract for three weeks, so it is not a knee-jerk reaction to the interest from Stoke.

And while Rowett has his heart set on managing in the top flight, he would dearly love to do it with a club where he has such strong links, having lived in the area for years and been a player, coach and manager.
