Matej Vydra comes close to doubling the visitors' lead and reclaiming his place at the top of the Championship goalscorers chart.

His shot on the turn inside the Birmingham area skims the top of the crossbar.

GOAL: Brentford 1-0 Boltonpublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Florian Jozefzoon (40 mins)

Struggling Bolton have improved of late but they've fallen behind at Griffin Park.

Florian Jozefzoon finds the net with an effort into the bottom corner.

  3. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Hull City 0-0 Reading

Confusion at Hull as the hosts think they've taken the lead and then all of a sudden it's taken away from them.

Jon Toral thought he poked in the opener for the hosts and so had many in the ground. But, after a brief pause the referee consults with his assistant and overturns it.

A penny for Nigel Adkins' thoughts in the Hull dugout?

  4. RED CARD: Eunan O'Kane (Leeds)published at 15:42 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Ipswich 0-0 Leeds

Not a game packed with incident but Eunan O'Kane has been dismissed for an off-the-ball incident to leave Leeds with 10 men with eight minutes to the break.

Might just have lit the blue touch paper there...

    Hull City 0-0 Reading

Still no goals in this one, but Reading have already been forced into two changes before half-time.

John Swift and former Hull skipper Paul McShane have had to come off carrying knocks which has seen Jaap Stam shuffle his pack with the introduction of Sone Aluko and Tiago Ilori.

Aluko yet another Reading player back at one of his former clubs this afternoon.

    Millwall 0-0 Preston

Both Millwall and Preston have drawn more Championship matches 0-0 in 2017-18 (five each) than any other side.

It's also Millwall's 2000th home game in the English Football League. Impressive feat.

Are we on for another draw?

  8. goal

GOAL: Burton 1-1 QPRpublished at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Lloyd Dyer (34 mins)

A quick response for Burton, who equalise against QPR with Lloyd Dyer's tap-in.

Coupon-busting stuff from 23rd-place Chesterfield this afternoon, who have taken their Proact Stadium name somewhat as a guide in leading League Two table-toppers Luton Town 2-0.

Joe Rowley put the Spireites in front on 19 minutes, followed by a Jak McCourt penalty six minutes later.

As the club Twitter feed rather nicely put it - "the Proact is rocking."

  10. goal

GOAL: Burton 0-1 QPRpublished at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Aramide Oteh (32 mins)

QPR take the lead at struggling Burton with a goal from teenage debutant Aramide Oteh, who bundles the ball home from close range.

    Barnsley 0-0 Wolves

Many pundits were worried at the start of the season about how Wolves' band of overseas imports would cope with the cold English weather.

They've coped pretty well, it's fair to say.

However, head coach Nuno is wrapped up warm for his trip to Barnsley, where the Championship leaders are still goalless.

    Bristol City 0-0 Norwich City

James Maddison again pulling the strings for Norwich at Ashton Gate.

He's through with a chance to open the scoring for the visitors once more, but Nathan Baker is there just in time to stop his goal-bound effort on the line and spare Frankie Fielding's blushes in the City goal.

    Birmingham City 0-1 Derby County

Craig Gardner tries to get Birmingham back on level terms with a speculative effort from 25 yards.

Scott Carson is on hand to stop it in the Derby goal with a fine save to keep the Rams ahead.

No Championship player has scored more headed goals this season than the five netted by QPR’s Matt Smith.

Hasn't had the chance to add to that tally as yet because he's on the bench, and neither side has able to break the deadlock at the Pirelli Stadium.

Big, big battle at the top of League One as the former Premier League champions Blackburn in third host the pride of the Salop in the shape of Shrewsbury Town - who are second.

Charlie Mulgrew, who has previously played in the Champions League for Celtic, got the goal for Blackburn to put them 1-0 up.

Two other high-fliers in the shape of Scunthorpe and Portsmouth are up against each other too, and Pompey lead in that one thanks to Jamal Lowe's effort - nice way to celebrate a new deal eh?

    Bristol City 0-0 Norwich City

Norwich go close for the first time at Ashton Gate as James Maddison surges forward before taking a shot for the visitors.

Frankie Fielding is able to get across and push it away at full stretch.

  17. goal

GOAL: Birmingham City 0-1 Derby Countypublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Johnny Russell (19 mins)

Derby take the lead at St Andrew's - against the run of play somewhat too - courtesy of Johnny Russell.

His shot from the left side on the edge of the penalty box took a deflection on its way there, but I don't suppose the visiting fans will care that much.

Derby were displaced from second spot by Cardiff's win earlier, but the Rams are heading back into the top two.

    Hull City 0-0 Reading

Hull have a first chance of the game as Seb Larsson fires in a free-kick that just skims the outside of the post.

Former Tigers shot-stopper Vito Mannone was unmoved in the Reading goal and would've been relieved to see it go wide.

Stuart Mole: A friend of mine named his daughter Mollie after Molineux and his son Jack after Sir Jack Hayward.

It's actually the third anniversary of Sir Jack Hayward's death today. Wolves are doing him proud this season.

Some players don't hit 469 games in their career let alone for one club, so hearty congratulations to Stevenage defender Ronnie Henry for hitting that landmark at Morecambe this afternoon.

He becomes the club's leading appearance maker in the process. Nice work.

Will he be marking the occasion with some champagne? Well it's 0-0 at present.
