    Wigan 1-0 Bournemouth

Jamie Jones has to be alert in the Wigan goal to deal with a flicked Benik Afobe header.

The visitors are just starting to produce a bit of rhythm after a very disjointed start.

And as I sent that last message, those wizards in the multimedia department have clipped up that Jordan Ayew beauty.

Watch it below. A treat for the eyes.

This photo does not do Jordan Ayew's opening goal justice, but the fact he got this close to the goal from outside of the area certainly says a lot.

Equally question marks over the defending from the five Wolves defenders who had a front row view but did little to stop the striker.

    Swansea 1-0 Wolves

Half a chance for Swansea to add a second as a corner is half cleared to Roque Mesa on the edge of the Wolves box, but he volleys wide.

Almost half an hour in and Wolves are yet to muster a shot on or off target.

Could we have an upset on the cards?

  6. Postpublished at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 Norwich

The relentless pressure on the Norwich goal continues. This time they win a free-kick just outside of the area, David Luiz lifts the ball over the wall but straight at keeper Angus Gunn.

Norwich then break quickly and Willy Caballero comes charging out of his area, risky, but it pays off as he gets to the ball first and clears.

  7. 'Wigan are more than fired up'published at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2018

    Wigan 1-0 Bournemouth

BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Burton Albion defender Stephen Warnock: Wigan are more than fired up for this game, you can see they want it more at this moment in time. Eddie Howe needs to get his players fired up somehow.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2018

    Wigna 1-0 Bournemouth

Very feisty game in Wigan - it's like a derby match. Ryan Colclough goes in late on Ryan Fraser and picks up a booking.

Bournemouth are not doing much to worry Wigan just yet.

It's always important when you're making the first few starts that it's in your preferred positon.

Play the young lad and give him the best opportunity to play well.

  11. Azpilicueta has just missed a sitterpublished at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 Norwich

It was brilliant from Willian, he just smashed it across the goal.

It so could have gone in.

Then Azpilicueta missed a sitter. It was a slight deflection but he was literally a yard from goal.

  12. CLOSE!published at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 Norwich

And now César Azpilicueta is not far off as he pokes Tiemoué Bakayoko's flick on from a corner just wide of the far post.

Chelsea youngster Ethan Ampadu is alongside David Luiz in the Chelsea defence tonight, both sporting big fuzzy hairstyles. Wonder if they go to the same barbers?

It was a decent enough strike by Danny Drinkwater. I thought Harrison Reed did well to stop Willian getting a shot in and forcing him to pass. But Angus Gunn always had it covered

  14. Postpublished at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2018

All Chelsea, perhaps as you would expect, and Danny Drinkwater is not far off with a low effort that fizzes just wide. Moments later Willian draws a fine save by Angus Gunn at his near post.

  15. Cherries lacking confidencepublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2018

    Wigan 1-0 Bournemouth

BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Burton Albion defender Stephen Warnock: "Sometimes when you have players that come into the team that haven't played together for a while, there just isn't that connection with your team-mates, we've seen that with Ryan Fraser and Connor Mahoney so far, they're on a different wave length to each other.

"You'd have thought Bournemouth would be full of confidence after the weekend's result, but they're not, they need something to get them going."

  16. Postpublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2018

    Swansea 1-0 Wolves

Not much any team can do about preventing goals that are of the sort of quality of Jordan Ayew's.

Long way to go in this one and there's a brief nervous moment in the Swansea defence as Matt Doherty pounces on a poor clearance and quickly finds Hélder Costaa, but the forward is offside.

  17. It will be a good gamepublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 Norwich

    Phil Neville
Former England & Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 live

It's a good atmosphere. It will be a good game as Chelsea have made a lot of changes and Willian and Pedro need to stake a claim tonight.

Can Batshuayi get the goals to convince Conte that he deserves a run in the team?

  18. Postpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 Norwich

It will be interesting to see how Norwich get on without Alex Pritchard. The playmaker was arguably one of the best creators in the Championship but James Maddison's form has softened the blow of Pritchard's departure to Huddersfield. I'm excited to see what he can do tonight.

  19. Experienced heads must stand up for Bournemouthpublished at 20:03 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2018

    Wigan 1-0 Bournemouth

BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Burton Albion defender Stephen Warnock: "I just want a little bit more from Bournemouth here, sometimes you come to a League One team and expect to have it all your own way, but Wigan haven't allowed them to do that. The more experienced players need to stand up and lead by example."

Anybody old enough to remember Ricardo Villa in the FA Cup final replay, it is just like that. What a stunning goal, one of the goals of the season without a doubt.

For the record, Villa scored the winning goal in the 1981 FA Cup final replay for Tottenham against Man City.
