Looks like the Gunners' fans agree with Jermaine Jenas. How many changes will we see for the second half?

DavidThackeray2: My only tweet of the evening; Arsene, get Iwobi off and a young forward on.

ishambond1: Mr Wenger, could u kindly substitute Mustafi and Xhaka for Kolasinac and Ramsey respectively for the 2nd half pleeease? Thanks a bunch!

Apart from tackling Moses twice, Iwobi has done nothing.. and Lacazette? I'm sure Ospina has touched the ball more times. What a waste of money!

A lot of love for Tiemoue Bakayoko...

SAMBAJAWO: Tonight Bakayoko is proofing Chelsea doubters wrong. Incredible work rate.

Bowlage: Bakayoko showing glimpses of why he cost so much. Athletic presence, strong runs forward and some decent passing. Keep it up.

Arsenal have looked reasonably solid in defence since the goal but the left-hand side is worrying me. But what is worrying me more is their composure on the ball at the back.

They need to shuffle things around - they have not had anywhere near enough of the ball in the attacking part of the pitch.

I can see there being a reshuffle from Arsene Wenger in the second half.

    Half-time.

    That was all rather entertaining.

  7. CLOSE!published at 45+3 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

Jack Wilshere opens up his stride and gets away from a blue shirt on the edge of the box.

Throughball through the slenderest of corridors picks out Mesut Ozil.

The German gets away a shot, slight clip off Andreas Christensen and the ball loops just wide as the Emirates holds its breath.

    And that is the half.

Arsenal do not look convincing at the back, either on the floor or in the air.

Another Chelsea cross bobbles about the dangerzone before finally one of the home team take command.

Having said that Chelsea have come up with a grand total of one shot on target so far in this half.

  11. Frustration for Arsenalpublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2018

    Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

    Jermaine Jenas
Former Tottenham midfielder at Emirates Stadium

Arsenal have woken up since the goal but Arsene Wenger will be expecting more composure on the ball in order to get a couple more attacks. Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere are starting to get frustrated with the lack of time in attack. Something for them to address at half-time.

There is a bit of spice bubbling away in the Carabao pot.

Laurent Koscielny goes in hard on Eden Hazard, who leaps out of the way, but not without leaving some of his studs behind on the Frenchman's thigh.

Three to the break after an absorbing first half.

Andreas Christensen sticks a hefty shoulder in the back of Mesut Ozil to stop the Arsenal string-puller in his tracks.

Christensen was just the man at the front of the Blues queue. There was a whole hosts of visitors keen to do the dirty on Ozil.

Antonio Conte clearly does not want the German to have any time on the ball.

This has been a much better game than the first leg, that first goal certainly helped. Chelsea are just shading it at the moment so far in this first half but Arsenal are looking dangerous too.

Why do I feel that this match is going to witness a late Barclay winner?

    Pessimistic Gooner

Just a thank you to wenger. I turn 40 next month, and if he hadn't have signed Xhaka, I'd have had at least some hair left when I got there. Probably for the best really.

Ross Barkley is at the centre of everything.

The new Chelsea man gets his timing all wrong as he goes in on Laurent Koscielny on the left-hand edge of the Chelsea box.

Free-kick from a tight angle...and Granit Xhaka goes for goal!

Just over the top - via a slight deflection - with a flat-footed Willy Caballero struggling to make up his ground.
