    Cardiff 0-1 Manchester City

    Mark Lawrenson

"I would think before the game that the Manchester City players may have had information on the Cardiff wall that they all jump together. So clever, so simple."

    Kevin de Bruyne

That is so, so clever from Kevin de Bruyne!

When he stands over the free-kick, everyone thinks he's going to curl it over the wall but he smartly places it underneath and into the bottom corner.

    Neil Etheridge didn't even move.

    Cardiff 0-0 Manchester City

Nice play from Man City. Leroy Sane and Bernardo Silva link up well down the left and Ilkay Gundogan finds the ball in space in the box.

He has time to fire a shot at Etheridge and receives it back from the rebound before he's crunched into.

That tackle has hurt him and now Sergio Aguero is warming up...

Mendez-Laing has not scored sine August. Neil Warnock thinks he has diagnosed the reason for his form. He's an asthmatic and has been on the wrong medication lately.

  5. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Manchester City

Now Manchester City have the ball and they take it up the right wing with Kevin de Bruyne. He has time to lift his head up, pick out a player and deliver the ball to Bernardo Silva - who had made a nice run to the near post.

He tries to flick it on but it lacks pace and it's a comfortable save for Neil Etheridge.

Mark Poddington: Neil Warnock. Now there's a manager who could light up the Emirates when Wenger goes at last.

Interesting - that would be quite some change of direction.

  7. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Manchester City

Cardiff have started brightly! They burst forward with pace and reach the Man City box but can't quite get a shot away.

I've watched Cardiff quite a bit. If they get a chance to tackle, they will tackle. Expect lots of perspiration, application, dedication.

  11. Record crowd for Cardiffpublished at 16:01 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2018

Cardiff v Manchester City (16:00 GMT)

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium

There doesn't tend to be an atmosphere like this at the Cardiff City Stadium unless Wales are playing.

Today's game is a sell-out, so a capacity crowd of 33,280 would be a new record for Cardiff games at this ground, surpassing the 28,680 against Derby in 2016.

  14. 'A one-off'published at 15:58 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2018

Cardiff v Manchester City (16:00 GMT)

    Danny Gabbidon
Former Wales defender on BBC One

It's a one-off game, 11 against 11, a fantastic atmosphere and a manger who is very experienced. They must be disciplined defensively, every player must be concentrating but they also have to effect the game when they get the ball as well - something similar to what Newport County did yesterday, get an early goal and get the crowd behind the team.

  15. 'They are so strong'published at 15:57 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2018

Cardiff v Manchester City (16:00 GMT)

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola: "They are third in the Championship. We are playing away. It will be tough.

"We know exactly how complicated the game will be. Last season against Huddersfield, we needed a replay. It's a team on top form. Tall team, set pieces, aggressive one against one.

"We have to defend high because if we defend the box they are so strong."

  16. "Battles a plenty"published at 15:55 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2018

Cardiff v Manchester City (16:00 GMT)

    Guy Mowbray
    Match of the Day commentator

"For all their obvious differences, Neil Warnock and Pep Guardiola have one inescapable thing in common - they both get the absolute best from their squad of players.

"That's clear to everyone with Manchester City, but the majority watching won't be as familiar with Cardiff.

"Third in the Championship, they're responding superbly to the 'Warnock way', which on the surface seems a world away from Guardiola's.

"The Bluebirds' boss will love everything about this tie, with his excitement apparent as soon as Mansfield had been beaten in a third-round replay attended by Guardiola.

"There'll be long balls, battles a plenty and a full Cardiff City Stadium.

"Warnock's right. Aside from the game itself, Cardiff can't lose."

  20. Lawro's predictionpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2018

Cardiff v Manchester City (16:00 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
BBC football expert on Final Score

Manchester City will win this tie but I think Cardiff will give them a real game because they are strong physically and they will get into Pep Guardiola's players.

The Bluebirds are a typical Neil Warnock side and they are not going to lie down.

    Prediction: 0-2
