  1. goal

GOAL - Man City 5-1 Leicesterpublished at 90 mins

    Sergio Aguero

    The best of the bunch!

When Sergio Aguero is on fire, he is on fire as he completes a stunning 45 minutes with his fourth and Manchester City's fifth.

The ball is worked to the striker on the edge of the area and he thumps an effort over Kasper Schmeichel, off the underside of the bar and into the net.

    Simply brilliant.

Andy: Looks like Man City don't need Riyad Mahrez after all!

David Mitchell: Competitive football - the heart of the game - is dead. This Man City team will dominate for years and as a neutral it's depressing to see.

Rajeev: Give Man City the title and Kevin De Bruyne the Ballon d'Or already.

    Man City 4-1 Leicester

Leicester need to work on their free-kicks. They've got another opportunity to make something happen from a fairly dangerous position - on the left level with the area - but Riyad Mahrez plays it short to the edge of the box, the City players charge out, Leicester panic and in the end can only manage a meek cross straight into Ederson's hands.

Anon: Kasper Schmeichel seriously, you are not Ederson. After this performance please do not think that you ever can be. Atrocious.

Rodders: Looks like Man City will be lifting the Premier League trophy before the end of March.

Sergio Aguero is having a pretty good 2018 so far.

The City striker has played in 10 games, scored in seven and racked up 12 goals, including two hat-tricks.

    That is some strike rate.

Liz Tray: There is nobody sharper when he smells blood - his third hat-trick of the season. Sergio Aguero is surely the greatest Premier League striker of the last 20 years.

    Big, big call from Liz...

  8. 'Playing sides like City is disheartening'published at 19:10 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2018

    Man City 4-1 Leicester

    Paul Dickov
Former Manchester City striker on BBC Radio Manchester

I’ve played against possession based sides, like the great Arsenal side and it’s so disheartening because you’re so tired at the end of the game, but you can’t get the ball.

And another player makes his return as John Stones, who missed the last two games through injury, replaces Nicolas Otamendi.

What a great finish by Sergio Aguero, but Kasper Schmeichel has had a shocker.

Not sure what he’s trying to do? Just put your foot through it. Maybe he’s seen Ederson up the other end and thought he can do the same.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 79 mins

    Man City 4-1 Leicester

The win safe, Pep Guardiola decides to give Fernandinho a breather and Phil Foden some important minutes on the pitch.

    Sergio Aguero

    Beautiful finish!

    Terrible goalkeeping.

Kasper Schmeichel attempts to pass the ball out to his defence but hits it far too close to Sergio Aguero and the striker intercepts and then cleverly chips it over the panicking Schmeichel to complete his hat-trick.

... Marc Albrighton clips the ball towards the far post but it is slightly overhit. Harry Maguire does well to keep the ball alive, but then slices harmlessly what I think was a cross into the sidenetting. A wasted opportunity.

Jack: Judging goalkeepers on their distribution is in vogue. Kasper Schmeichel’s is woeful.

Jim: Every game you see people trying to pick holes in Manchester City or say that Pep Guardiola is not all that. Crazy really since the table tells its own story.
