In the first 10 minutes it just looked like it was going to be a really tough game for Crystal Palace, but after Harry Kane missed that chance, they seemed to wake up a bit. Now, they're making life difficult for Spurs, when they're going forward there's an out ball, and when they're defending they're nice and compact.

Palace finishing the stronger! A home corner is just about cleared with Alexander Sorloth lurking in the box, shortly after a cheap yellow card for Mousa Dembele.

Harry Kane trots off - he had the half's clearest chance early on and missed.

Palace break. James McArthur with a great pass up to Andros Townsend, he finds the winger in space and there's a clever flick inside from Townsend to find even more.

Two men in the middle, will he pick one out or shoot? It'll be the latter, left-footed, a dribbly tame effort that is easily gathered. He's got some angry team-mates to address now.

We are probably a bit above Watford v Everton levels of entertainment but not by much. Bar the first few moments of madness from Palace there's hardly been much excitement at all.

Do Spurs really need Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama sitting in front of their back four? This looks like a game for Son Heung-min for me, they need a little bit of pace, a little bit of invention. I think in the second half Mauricio Pochettino will be looking to get him on to cause some damage.

Dele Alli hasn't been at his best so far either. He tries a first-time flick after Victor Wanyama's driving run but again it doesn't come off.

It's true - Palace are marking very tightly. But it's also true that they made three really big defensive errors early on and Spurs should have capitalised then.

If you offered Crystal Palace a 0-0 now, they would snap your hand off. There's been a few little incidents that they've got away with, the Harry Kane offside, the Kane chance early on.

It's just very, very congested in the middle of the park, and I think that's part of Palace's plan to slow Spurs down.

Off from Christian Eriksen. He's given the ball away a few times now. He drops deep to pick up from Hugo Lloris as Spurs quickly win it back.

So often the fulcrum, the Dane's not been at the races so far.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka robs possession, sets Christan Benteke on his way. He gets it back, finds Andros Townsend down the line and the winger wins a corner.

This is a rare trip up towards Hugo Lloris for Palace, but as the corner comes out Patrick van Aanholt shanks an attempt at a volley. Not a great one that.

Crystal Palace have got 10, sometimes 11 behind the ball, and Spurs have only got six players looking forward. That's why it's so difficult for Spurs to break them down at the moment, they're outnumbered, and Palace are standing firm.

With Wilfried Zaha I'd say Crystal Palace are 85 per cent likely to stay up, without him I don't know, it'll go right down to the wire. That's how big a miss he is for them.

Spurs building patiently again. Dele Alli gets a few boos as he passes the Palace fans in the corner. Aaron Wan-Bissaka makes a block with his face and every home player is back behind the ball trying to cover every inch. Tottenham still looking for that chink of light.

The referee had given a penalty and then he saw the offside. But that is a penalty on Harry Kane, a really clumsy challenge from Timo Fosu-Mensah, but he gets away with it as Kane's about half a yard offside when the initial ball is played. Another let off for Palace.

Ooooh! This is a let-off for Palace, big-time. Alexander Sorloth makes a risky pass across the back and Dele Alli prods Harry Kane beyond the backline. He takes a touch and is brought down by Timothy Fosu-Mensah in the box - a terrible, clumsy foul.

The ref winds his trajectory towards the penalty spot - pointing for a spot-kick... but the flag is up for offside - Kane the offender - and he styles out his arm movement to give Palace a free-kick.
