  1. CHANCE!published at 29 mins

Why take the extra touch! The first real sight of goal for Manchester United as Alexis Sanchez is picked out in the box by Anthony Martial, running hard to keep up with the break. His first touch can't quite bring the ball under his spell, and by the time he adjusts he is off balance and can't get any power behind what is just a flick on goal. Could have been so much more.

Bishop: Is it only me or has anyone else notice that Alexis Sanchez has become more of a passenger than a game changer in recent games?

Archie: Willian the most underrated player in the Premier League.

Henry: Judging by this, Pogba probably does more on the bench than off it...

Here's a chance for Paul Pogba to stretch forward. Anthony Martial is out wide as United counter. Martial drives inside and looks for Romelu Lukaku in the middle, but there is Andreas Christensen with a sliding clearance.

Chelsea can't get out now, Pogba and Ashley Young looking for a way in down the left. Lukaku gets to a deflected cross and spins a shot on goal, but the Blues defence squeeze the danger out.

It's not much, but at least it's something for the home fans to make some kind of noise about.

This is a pretty big game - with quite a lot at stake in terms of finishing in the top four.

The atmosphere is poor though. The visiting fans are making a lot of noise, as you would expect but the home sections are very quiet.

Jose Mourinho has complained about the atmosphere here before.

    Very strange.

When Manchester United have had the ball they don’t look forward. Whenever you win the ball back you should look to pass it forward, and only backwards as a last option.

Their first thought is ‘don’t lose the ball’.

Better from Manchester United. Sort of. Well, at least they've got the ball up the pitch for a bit. Paul Pogba can't do much with it, is the only problem, just a cross looking for Romelu Lukaku that is easily claimed by Thibaut Courtois.

Nick. If Chelsea had played anything like they can from the start of the season we might have had an exciting title chase. As it is these two are fighting to be best of the rest.

Richard: I can't tell if I'm watching this in slow motion or not. United are pedestrian, all over the pitch. It's not walking football, lads. You're allowed to run.

Again Nemanja Matic penalised for a foul. These are racking up. Willian again is the man who is taken down, and he'll send the free-kick in, wide from the touchline.

Chelsea load the box, but Matic hooks clear at the near post. Just over 60% possession for the Blues so far.

Eden Hazard at the heart of things again as Chelsea continue to dominate possession. When you've outplayed Barcelona a few days ago, that'll give you confidence.

David de Gea gets a backpass he probably didn't want and sprays it straight out into touch.

Samrat: Don't United have too many left sided players? Too many of their attacks come through the left causing opposition teams to stack that area. United always seem to run into traffic there.

Ash: United playing at home look like the away team. Old Trafford has lost the fear factor.

Manchester United look like they’ve taken right off from Wednesday night against Sevilla in the Champions League. It is exactly the same, no great intent about them.

Maybe a bit harsh that. The ref blows up for a foul by Nemanja Matic as he leaned in to steal from Willian.

There are a few giggles between Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte on the sidelines. Detente!

Lots of clapping from Jose Mourinho in his technical area, trying to urge the hosts on.

He was particularly pleased at the way Alexis Sanchez tracked back just then.

No histrionics from Antonio Conte yet, just quietly - for him - guiding his players into position.

You would have to say on evidence Chelsea look better, with the extra day’s rest. Quicker in speed, quicker in thought.

Hazard and Willian look at top of the game and they seem the difference between the two teams.

Antonio Rudiger is very advanced again. Danny Drinkwater drops in to cover him with the whole Manchester United XI defending their own half. Willian's toes are twinkling as Scott McTominay shuttles tightly to his man.

Wilian now finds space for Eden Hazard out wide but the Belgian's cross is easy for David de Gea.

Well played Ashley Young here though as he stands up to Victor Moses in the box and fences Chelsea's counter attack clear. Moses tried to trick past him but Young stood his ground and cleanly.

Chelsea work space again - no doubt they are edging the early stages - but this time Moses is offside, with the whole line to look down ahead of him.

Nice from Nemanja Matic - his long leg catches a stray Chelsea pass and sets his team on their way. Romelu Lukaku chests out to Alexis Sanchez on the edge of the box but the Chilean loses possession.

Chelsea dropping back now. United's first real spell on the ball - but any pressure is wasted by Ashley Young's wayward cross.

There is a smattering of applause - special to English football this - for Alexis Sanchez's easy pass wide to Antonio Valencia looking to open up the play.

Paul Pogba is brought down just outside the box. Alexis Sanchez to deliver...

Not a great one, Thibaut Courtois claims easily with the area loaded up.

Andreas Christensen with the drive forward from the back now but this time the run is stopped - he overspent there. Seems to be a strategy though - get the centre-backs to dribble aggressively out.
