It's starting to get frenetic on the pitch and the tension is starting to rise off it.

Lots of pointing and gesturing from the respective managers - to their own teams not each other.

The peace currently in existence between Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte might be threatened by the next goal or controversy.

That's a lovely way of framing it Mark but there are signs now that the home side are growing into this. Paul Pogba is looking much more lively this half. If he can find his best there will be danger.

Victor Moses with a superb touch to collect out wide. Again Eden Hazard looks to dart into the holes between defence and midfield but now an Alvaro Morata through ball is over-hit.

A sense the balance of this tie is turning - slightly.

Alexis Sanchez picks it up now, the street fighter who has moved house. More skills from Paul Pogba as he sets up Anthony Martial, but the forward is sluggish to respond, the ball dribbles away.

Pogba's starting to enjoy himself, is that what will Jose Mourinho will have said at half-time?

James Hyde: That's 23 goals this season for Lukaku then, in a fairly conservative team. Link-up play can be poor and he's obviously not the finished article, but he's hardly been the flop some depict him as.

Momodu: This is not about whether Lukaku scores or not, but about the services he gets.

  6. CHANCE!published at 49 mins

Very nice from Paul Pogba - the Juventus vintage as he spins past two harrying markers and into space up the pitch. Only trouble is that one of them is N'Golo Kante, who doesn't give up easily, he fights back to cover any danger.

Willian sparks into action now - he has been superb again. The Brazilian plays in Alvaro Morata as United are caught sleeping, and the Spaniard should do better! He seems to dally instead of getting a shot away!

Mike Sizzy: From a Manchester United fan: Willian is a superb player. I admire him, his courage and confidence is unmeasurable, and he’s underrated in the Premier League.

Michael Ukhuege: I’ve had enough of Alvaro Morata already. He’s spent more time on the ground than he's spent running this afternoon. Oliver Giroud would do better at holding the ball up.

FM: Jose Mourinho is asking a lot of Scott McTominay to mark Willian or Eden Hazard in the game! It might be the undoing of United today, no disrespect to the young lad.

As I move on from three slices of pizza to a banana before the second half begins I wonder: when is a pizza not a pizza? I only ask because one of them didn't have any tomato sauce on. Is it the cheese that defines a pizza?

Antonio Conte has bigger things to worry about as he makes his way down the side of the pitch, but he is all smiles on the outside. His team have played the better football, but United clawed their way back in.

An interesting 45 minutes in store.

  10. 'I really feel sorry for the players' - Hodgsonpublished at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Tottenham

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson speaking to MOTD: "It's very frustrating, I feel really sorry for the players, because to work as hard as that, and to be under the cosh as long as we were, I thought we worked so hard, and suffered the loss of James Tomkins to a severe cramp, so it's cruel then when you concede so late in the game.

"If I'd have been talking to you here at 0-0, I'd have been a happy man. But now I can't hide my feelings, I'm not an actor, I'm really sad for the players. I see how disappointed they are in the dressing room and there's not much I can say to change how they feel, no praise will change how they're feeling right now."

On handing Aaron Wan-Bissaka a debut at right-back: "There wasn't much choice to be honest, in actual fact if he hand't played today, I don't know who would have played there. Martin Kelly, Joel Ward are injured, but that's what we've got. Playing against a team with Tottenham's quality, we did pretty well I think, but it's so tough when you're robbing the Under-23s of players just so you can fill a bench."

On the injury situation: "Martin Kelly and Jeff Schlupp will be back in training next week, and Joel Ward isn't far away. Wilfried Zaha and Mamadou Sakho are working hard so they'll be back in a couple of weeks, too hopefully, and then we'll be stronger than we were today."

  11. 'We made it difficult for them' - Fosu-Mensahpublished at 15:02 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Tottenham

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace defender Timo Fosu-Mensah: "I think we defended well today and we made it difficult for them, so it's a pity to concede so late in the game.

"Spurs have very good players and we know they are a possession team, so as defenders we needed to have concentration throughout the match."

On facing Chelsea and Man United next: "They are very good teams, at the top of the table, but we have to keep trying and going for it.

"We just take it game by game, and we want to win every game it's as simple as that."

  12. 'It was a clear penalty on Davies' - Pochettinopublished at 15:02 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Pochettino added on the penalty incidents in the first half: "I think it was a clear penalty on Ben Davies, but sometimes the referee can't see, so you can't always get them.

  13. Willian has been brilliantpublished at 15:01 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea

    Mark Lawrenson
BBC football expert on BBC Radio 5 live

Willian has been head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch. He’s been brilliant in everything he’s done, including defensively.

United have not had enough red shirts that break quickly enough when they try to get forward. With Chelsea it’s a sprint when they break, with United it’s a jog.

United have done well to stay in the game, but Chelsea look and are the better team.

  15. 'We fully deserved the victory' - Pochettinopublished at 14:58 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino speaking to MOTD: "I think in the end we got what we wanted, and we fully deserved the victory, the three points puts us in a really good position in the table.

"We started to feel towards the end it was diffcult today, but we always knew we could score, we had great players on the pitch, when you have them it's always possible to score."

On upcoming fixtures across all competitions: "We want to be involved in all competitions, so we have to prepare for Rochdale on Tuesday, and then we have Champions League next week, so we are doing well for all competitions."

On Kane missing chances early in the game: "It's important for him to keep going, and never get frustrated, so he's great for the team."

On Kane reaching his 150th club goal: "He's incredible, and he's achievements in this season, and the previous seasons too have been great. So congratulations to him for one more goal."

  17. 'I just have to keep scoring goals' - Kanepublished at 14:56 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs striker Harry Kane speaking to MOTD: "I had a couple good chances early in the game, so we thought it was going to be one of those games, but we kept plugging away, and took the win in the end.

"It's always a tough place to come, and they made it really hard for us today, but we worked hard, and I was happy to get the goal at the end.

"Missing chances is part of being a striker, and you have to be ready for the next chance, which I was.

"I know I'm in good form so that gives me confidence going into every game, so I'm happy with how it's going. I set myself little targets, and I'm going quicker than I expected to this season, but I've got 35 now, so I just have to keep scoring goals."

Michael Devlin: I know Martial and Lukaku combined for the goal, but other than that they’ve been dreadful.

Jay: Chelsea clearly aren't a top team - Lukaku just scored against them.

Emanuel Miller: United bailed out by Lukaku after poor De Gea showing. Role reversal.

Alvaro Morata is down after taking a knock - a fair one I think - from Nemanja Matic in an aerial challenge. He looks OK.

Eden Hazard scampers away from Matic and is stopped in his tracks by the referee. Immediately a few of the Chelsea players mob the man in black, and there are a few elbow gestures in reference to that Matic challenge.
