You might as well flip a coin for this one.

Norwich have won just three of their last 15 home matches in all competitions.

Forest have one victory at Carrow Road in the second tier in 16 attempts.

The league table doesn't offer much help either - it's 14th against 15th.

I'd leave this game out of your accas ladies and gents.

    Hull v Millwall (19:45 GMT)

Staying with Hull and the award for the happiest manager of the night so far has to go to Nigel Adkins.

Something certainly made the Merseysider chuckle on his arrival at the KCOM.

Nothing like a bit of positivity in a relegation scrap Nige!

Could Hull's forgotten man return to fire them to Championship safety?

Striker Abel Hernandez has been out since August following his recovery from an Achilles tendon tear but returns to the bench tonight, and has a better than one in three goalscoring record in league games since joining in 2014.

The Tigers are three points above the drop zone, while Millwall's nine-game unbeaten run has thrust them into the top half - their hosts need the points more but the Lions are playing with freedom.

    QPR v Derby (19:45 GMT)

Promotion-hopefuls Derby have wobbled in recent weeks, picking up three points from their last five matches.

The Rams are still looking good for the play-offs, but the chasing pack are closing in.

QPR just can't string a good set of results together.

Ian Holloway's side are nine points clear of danger in 16th, but a third-straight season of mid-table obscurity seems inevitable.

  6. Clotet ready for 'battle' as Carsley leavespublished at 19:18 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2018

    Birmingham v Middlesbrough (19:45 GMT)

Heading back to St Andrew's quickly, where there's some fighting talk from Birmingham assistant boss Pep Clotet.

He takes the place of Lee Carsley, who has left Blues by mutual consent tonight - not the biggest surprise as they'd already named his replacement!

  7. Cardiff closing inpublished at 19:16 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2018

    Cardiff v Barnsley (19:45 GMT)

"Cardiff is a team in a different moment. We are in a moment where we are growing," Barnsley boss Jose Morais told BBC Radio Sheffield.

He's not wrong. Cardiff are second and have the chance to cut the gap to leaders Wolves down to three points ahead of their game against Leeds tomorrow.

Neil Warnock's Bluebirds are unbeaten in eight league games, have won their last four without conceding and have the chance to make club history tonight with a fifth consecutive clean sheet win.

Barnsley, by contrast, have won just one of their last eight Championship matches and are two points above the relegation zone.

It's a tricky task for the visitors, who play their third of four successive away games this evening.

Preston v Bristol City (19:45 GMT)

At Deepdale it's a battle of two play-off contenders with identical records over the last five games: WLDDD.

Preston are ninth, three points behind Bristol City in sixth, who beat Sheffield Wednesday 4-0 at the weekend to arrest an alarming slump over January and February.

"They've got a similar model to us in recruiting lower league players and younger players and they've nurtured them very well," City boss Lee Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol.

"It never surprises me with a club like Preston because they get more decisions right than they get wrong."

  9. 11 games to save their seasonpublished at 19:10 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2018

Sunderland v Aston Villa (19:45 GMT)

There's probably no better place to start than the Stadium of Light, where two former Premier League stalwarts going in opposite directions meet.

Third-placed Villa have found their feet in the Championship after relegation from the top flight in 2016 and are pushing for promotion.

Sunderland face the prospect of back-to-back relegations unless they start winning - and quickly.

Five victories from their 35 league matches tells the tale of why Chris Coleman's bottom side are four points from safety.

It's going to be a busy old night in the Championship, with everyone playing except for table-toppers Wolves and Leeds who meet at Elland Road on Wednesday.

Let's have a closer look at what's happening as we count down to kick-off...

  11. 'We have to crawl off the pitch'published at 19:06 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2018

    Birmingham v Middlesbrough (19:45 GMT)

Monk, who turns 39 today, faces the club he left just before Christmas.

And he's urged his Birmingham players to give everything they've got as they attempt to clamber out of the relegation zone.

Boro are hovering around the play-offs and head to St Andrew's on the back of an impressive 3-0 win over Leeds.

A 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest, Birmingham's fifth league loss in a row, saw Steve Cotterill given the boot.

Less than 24 hours later, in came Garry Monk.

And Monk's first game in charge this evening is rather tasty...

Saturday's big chill saw six matches in England's second tier postponed, along with the majority of games in League One and Two.

Of the five fixtures played in the Championship, victories for Bristol City, Preston and Fulham kept them nicely in the play-off picture.

But it was a different story for Birmingham City...

Good evening. Have you defrosted yet?

Following the weekend's frozen EFL fixture list, it returns tonight with a spring in its tail.

There are 11 Championship games, a sprinkle of lower league action, and not a snowflake in sight.

    Let's get down to business...
