Meanwhile, in League Two a familiar face is taking charge of his first match - but will it be his only one?

  2. League One previewpublished at 14:23 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2018

We're one game down in the third tier, with Bradford's game against MK Dons postponed because of a waterlogged pitch in West Yorkshire.

Third-placed Wigan Athletic will be in FA Cup quarter-final action next weekend, but it's League One promotion that the Latics must focus on today.

Scunthorpe, who are fifth, are the visitors to the DW Stadium.

Leaders Blackburn are at home to neighbours Blackpool, while second-placed Shrewsbury - who booked a place in April's Checkatrade Trophy final at Wembley earlier this week - host Walsall.

We know... every supporter will think their team needs three points more than anyone else this afternoon - even fans of Norwich, who are 18 points clear of the drop and 10 points below the play-offs in the Championship.

But who really needs a win in the EFL today?

There are recently-appointed managers such as Jos Luhukay, Paul Heckingbottom and Jose Morais who have found three points very hard to come by, while League Two strugglers Grimsby are still yet to win in 2018.

Garry Monk's first game as Birmingham boss ended in defeat by his former club Middlesbrough on Tuesday - a result that left Blues still inside the Championship's bottom three.

They've lost six games in a row, so you'd think it would be a home banker for opponents Cardiff.

But this is the Championship - and we all know by now to expect the unexpected!

Preston and Fulham have men in great form.

The Irishman makes his first start since November this afternoon.

It's developing into quite a race for the play-offs - Preston, Bristol City and Sheffield United are all within three points of sixth-placed Middlesbrough.
