Blackburn lad: Dear #God, external, Please, please, please let Scunthorpe win today as #Rovers, external need to avoid the play-offs. If you could also arrange for #Wigan, external to lose all #EFL, external games and win all cup games that would be a nice bonus #ThankYou, external and #haveaniceweekend, external

That's quite a plea to start the weekend. Not sure how Shrewsbury or Wigan fans will feel about it...

    Fulham 0-0 QPR

It's cleared at the second attempt and suddenly Fulham have a great chance to break with four or five players bursting forward.

An outnumbered Nedum Onuoha is back to clear the danger.

    Fulham 0-0 QPR

QPR are suddenly looking lively. Some slick play on the left involving Luke Freeman ends with them winning a corner.

    Fulham 0-0 QPR

Another corner for the hosts and this time the delivery is good.

But Ryan Sessegnion's header is lacking power and easily caught by QPR keeper Alex Smithies.

It's still Fulham dominating possession. But there's the threat at the other end.

Matt Smith does well to win the ball, muscle through and play a lovely through-ball with the outside of his foot.

But Fulham are defensively alert and clear their lines.

    Fulham 0-0 QPR

Well he made a bit of a mess of that.

Ryan Sessegnon is freed on the left but Aleksandar Mitrovic makes a pig's ear of his first attempt and then hacks the ball over the bar when it falls back to him, but it takes a deflection for a corner.

    That comes to nothing again.

    Fulham 0-0 QPR

Fulham win the first corner after a rushed Nedum Onuoha clearance. Unsurprisingly Aleksandar Mitrovic is the target but it comes to nothing.

Managers Ian Holloway and Slavisa Jokanovic are "having a few words" on the touchline.

Not convinced it was altogether friendly... or certainly not as cordial as it was before kick-off.

Maybe Holloway has asked for a few more kicks of the ball?

    Barnsley v Millwall (13:00 GMT)

Barnsley keeper Adam DaviesImage source, Getty

We're around 15 minutes from kick-off at Oakwell, so let's take a look at the team news from south Yorkshire.

There will be no Adam Davies in goal for Barnsley today as his partner is imminently expecting the birth of their child.

Nick Townsend returns between the sticks, while Dani Pinillos and Stevie Mallen also come into the Tykes' starting XI.

Millwall, who have won their last five away games, are unchanged.

Barnsley: Townsend; Yiadom, Jackson, Lindsay, Pinillos; Potts, Gardner, Mallan, Thiam; Moore, McBurnie.

Subs: Walton, Bradshaw, Moncur, Isgrove, Cavare, Mahoney, Pearson.

Millwall: Archer; Romeo, Hutchinson, Cooper, Meredith; Wallace, Williams, Saville, Marshall; Morison, Gregory.

Subs: Martin, Tunnicliffe, Cahill, Onyedinma, Elliott, O'Brien, Shackell.

Tom Cairney is looking the part here. The Fulham man is popping up everywhere, dictating play and generally looking a cut above at so far.

Fulham really missed him when he was out injured in the early part of the season.

QPR have struggled to get a decent spell of possession here.

The game is panning out as expected at the moment. The hosts look sharp and inventive and brimming with confidence.

But Rangers are keeping their shape nicely and finally have a bit of time on the ball in the middle of the park.

  12. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Fulham 0-0 QPR

That chance highlighted the importance of Aleksandar Mitrovic. Great hold-up play by the Fulham striker to tee up Cairney and the midfielder's shot produced a fine save.

Meanwhile, Whites defender Matt Targett has taken an accidental whack in the face and needs a bit of treatment.

  13. CLOSE!published at 5 mins

    Fulham 0-0 QPR

So nearly the opener. Fulham have the ball in the net.

Alex Smithies makes a brilliant save to keep out Tom Cairney's curling strike and although Ryan Sessegnon puts the follow-up in, he is well offside.

  14. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Fulham 0-0 QPR

A long passage of possession ends with QPR crowding out the hosts but Fulham come again and Ryan Sessegnon is in space on the left before being flagged offside.

Bright start by the home team this.

  15. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Fulham 0-0 QPR

Fulham are keeping the ball nicely in the early stages.

    Fulham v QPR (12:30 GMT)

Eberechi Eze of QPRImage source, Rex Features

QPR have a tradition of flamboyant number tens. Going back a long, long time you get into the realms of legends like Stan Bowles and Rodney Marsh.

Then Rs fans purred about the ability of John Byrne and Roy Wegerle.

More recently Adel Taarabt had the sort of talent most mortals only dream of, but he also had a rather questionable work ethic and even more dubious attitude.

Eberechi Eze has only played a handful of games, and no one is suggesting he's joining those names yet. But he has bundles of ability and is already getting R's fans excited.

He could be a key man today.

Fulham striker Aleksandar MitrovicImage source, Rex Features

Aleksandar Mitrovic never strikes me as the retiring type.

His swagger and goalscoring has further helped Fulham, whose form was already staggeringly good after a tough couple of months at the start of the season.

Mr Mitrovic arrived on loan from Newcastle in January and the big striker has scored seven goals in his past five matches to help his new side go up to fourth.

A win today and they would climb to third, just five points off Cardiff in second before the Bluebirds travel to face Derby on Sunday.

    Gillingham v Blackburn Rovers postponed

So the 'mini-beast from the East' appears to have claimed a victim, with League One leaders Blackburn Rovers' trip to Gillingham postponed on safety grounds following snow.

It's also paid a visit to Sincil Bank and Meadow Lane too - but Lincoln's game with Grimsby and Mansfield's visit to Notts County remain on... for now.
