    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

This would be the first goalless draw of the knockout stages so far. The lowest scoring game in the first six matches was Chelsea 1-1 Barcelona, and that was a good game.

This one, it's not been great. Plenty of Sevilla chances, but most of them were poor or speculative. Nothing memorable to talk about from United's performance either.

The full-backs of Manchester United are not involved enough. Romelu Lukaku needs more support. I’m not seeing the service.

I know people comment about his goals and his finish but how many chances has he had?

It has been a terrible performance from United and I think Sevilla have notched it up because they can win the game and maybe even get a couple.

    Fred (71 mins)

Wow that was a sublime free-kick from Brazilian midfielder Fred, who was reportedly coveted by Manchester City in January.

    Top corner.

The hosts deserve their lead after a lively response to going behind in the first half.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 75 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho makes a change as Marcus Rashford replaces Alexis Sanchez.

    It's pace o'clock.

  5. 'Great play from Sevilla'published at 21:17 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2018

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

    Mark Lawrenson
BBC football expert on BBC Radio 5 live

Looked an easier chance than it was. Too much loft on the ball and not great pace, but great play from Sevilla. It all came from Man United losing the ball in Sevilla’s half, then all of a sudden they are in trouble.

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

The game is starting to open out, as United get more chances to attack.

But Sevilla come close again - as Luis Muriel lifts a cross to Pablo Sarabia - who somehow heads over from five yards out.

United are getting a sub ready.

  7. Postpublished at 70 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

Paul Pogba takes a shot from distance but it's high and wide. United have only had one shot on target all night.

Reminiscent of the last time they were at this stage under David Moyes?

    *ducks to avoid angry replies*

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

Ever Banega is the latest Sevilla player to have a shot but his free-kick is simply held by David de Gea.

At the other end, Romelu Lukaku does well to win a corner for Manchester United. Before anyone can get on the end of the corner, the referee awards a free-kick as loads of United players were jumping all over their markers.

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

Joaquin Correa cuts in from the left, loses Antonio Valencia but then his shot is high and wide. That's Sevilla's 19th effort now. The hosts are dominating - but not many of their shots have been that threatening.

I think United would take a 0-0 draw now.

  10. Postpublished at 64 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

Sevilla have a free-kick which Ever Banega lifts into the box. Clement Lenglet gets into space but his header is fairly weak and held by David de Gea.

If De Gea can save a powerful header from six yards out, he can deal with that.

Thomas: McTominay is the type of player who reminds me of the old United players under Fergie, hard working, good tackler and calm on the ball. Makes Pogba look average and cost a lot less

Andy: I'd be curious to see the stats of how many times Matic has given the ball away. For all the talk of whether Pogba or McTominay should be playing, Matic has been poor in possession all night.

Noel: The chasing back from United's midfield is very half-hearted. They don't look bothered?

Romelu Lukaku slams the 35-yard free-kick straight into the wall. I'm sure he has but I can't remember ever seeing him score a free-kick - or score from long range.

Raziev: United are ageing squad and we have seen in every game where they are pressed they tend to give away

Dave: Lukaku is too big a bloke to play hold up with his back to goal. Give him the ball running at goal in the channel like they used to do at Everton.

Richard: This looks all set up for a scrappy United goal to paper over the cracks of yet another under par performance.

Paul Pogba to Nemanja Matic, back to Pogba. He tries to find Romelu Lukaku, but the striker can't quite get his pass under control.

United have a free-kick now though as Alexis Sanchez is chopped down by Luis Muriel, who should probably have been booked.

Meanwhile in Spain, it's still Sevilla knocking on the door and Luis Muriel drags a shot wide from outside the box.

That's his fifth shot. I wonder if we'll see Wissam Ben Yedder soon, he's scored six of their 12 Champions League goals.

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

    Ian Wright
Former Arsenal & England striker on BBC Radio 5 live

I would love to see Manchester United pass with a bit more urgency, pass with a bit more pace. I’m being repetitive but they need to get it to Lukaku, because if he holds it up well and get players running off him, it can be so effective. The ball keeps going sideways and backwards. Slowly.

  17. goal

GOAL - Shakhtar Donetsk 1-1 Romapublished at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2018

    Facundo Ferreyra (55 mins)

The hosts are level and it's an excellent goal by Newcastle legend Facundo Ferreyra (jokes, I don't think he ever actually got a game). He races onto a wonderful Yaroslav Rakitskiy through ball and slots the ball past highly rated Roma keeper Alisson Becker.

  18. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

Luis Muriel has Sevilla's 15th shot (United have had two) but it's deflected out for their 11th corner, which David de Gea catches.

    The hosts deserve to score.

  19. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

Franco Vazquez has the ball out right, Victor Lindelof comes out to deal with him. Vazquez holds the ball, holds the ball and Jesus Navas makes a run next to him.

Lindelof and Alexis Sanchez both follow the runner, allowing Vazquez to cut inside and get a shot away but after all that it's over the bar.
