  1. 'Lukuku needs to get in the game'published at 19:59 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2018

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

Sevilla have started like you expect them to, they haven't let Manchester United settle. I don't think United have done well enough in getting the ball to Romelu Lukaku.

However, he hasn't held the ball up well enough either - maybe try to draw a foul and slow things down, just to get United up the pitch.

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

Sevilla have their third shot as Ever Banega pops one well over from 30 yards out. Can't fault the midfielder's ambition.

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

A great ball from Ander Herrera near midfield splits the Sevilla defence in half, Alexis Sanchez runs onto it and tries to get into the box but former Manchester City winger Jesus Navas, now a defender, steps across to get the ball away from the Chilean.

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

Sevilla are just passing the ball around the back and midfield - United aren't putting too much pressure on them at the moment.

Don't think the ball has been near Romelu Lukaku yet.

United haven’t had a touch really. They have got the Sevilla players breathing down their necks. They're not even able to get their heads up when they get the ball.

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

United's first move forward and their first corner as Alexis Sanchez's long ball out to the right is cleared out of play.

But Steven N'Zonzi heads the corner away.

Bright start for the hosts. Ray Wilkins must really rate Newcastle and Watford if he thinks Sevilla would be in the bottom six in the Premier League.

They've had almost 75% of the ball so far.

When it comes to the last third, Alexis Sanchez is so electric and comes alive. At Arsenal in the last 18 months, he created lots of chances and assists. That will only help someone like Romelu Lukaku. His link-up play needs to be better, he needs to be a little more clinical and have a bit more intensity in his movement. But it is a partnership that can be a major problem.

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

First shot and it's Sevilla's. Luis Muriel lines one up about 25 yards out but David de Gea gets down low and gets his arm out to keep the ball out of his net.

    Sevilla 0-0 Man Utd

Early corner to Sevilla, Jesus Navas - playing at right-back - plays Pablo Sarabia down the wing and his cross is headed out by Victor Lindelof. United get the corner away though.

I think in name because of the club and manager, yes Manchester United can win the Champions League. But it comes down to the way the players are feeling. If they get into the quarter-finals, and they can become a cohesive unit, playing the way they can, maybe.

Something has got to change drastically. The manager has been down this road before, so you can’t rule them out. The players are good enough; just the manager doesn’t get the best out of them.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has won the Champions League twice, with Porto in 2004 and Inter Milan in 2010 - but says it is too early to start thinking of a hat-trick.

No manager has ever won the Champions League with three different sides.

"I normally say that Champions League dreams, they start around the quarter-finals and not yet," he said.

"The last 16 still looks a long way to go. At the moment, we have to focus on a very difficult moment."

Tonight's game involves the winner of the last four Europa Leagues.

Sevilla won three in a row, but were not in the tournament last season - instead losing to Leicester at this stage of the Champions League.

Manchester United took their crown, beating Ajax in the final to qualify for this season's Champions League.

The last side other than these to win the Europa League were Rafael Benitez's Chelsea in 2013.

Henry: Uefa club rankings currently have Sevilla 7th and Man U 13th. With their impressive recent pedigree, you could argue United will do well to get a result at the Ramon Sanchez!

Kris: That’s an incredibly strong and pacey bench from Man Utd, feel like Mourinho’s tactics are keep it 0-0 till 70 mins, then send on Martial/Lingard/Rashford to nick a goal

  20. 'A banana skin for United'published at 19:32 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2018

Sevilla v Man Utd (19:45 GMT)

    Rene Meulensteen
Former Manchester United coach on BBC Radio 5 live

Jose Mourinho will stick close to what he believes is the best way forward. It is not always necessarily the way the fans want to see them play.

I do think that both teams are going to score, I do think that both teams are really going to make a good step forward, but Mourinho will never go fully on the attack and leave the back door open.

I think both United and Sevilla’s weaknesses are at the back. Recently Liverpool played there, got 3-0 up, home and dry, and they still conceded three goals, so it is a little bit of a difficult one, and if you are not careful it could be a banana skin.
