  1. 'Cool finish by Ellen White'published at 75 mins

Sometimes you just can’t beat one long ball forward. Poor defending from Germany but that was a cool finish by Ellen White.

They can be the hardest ones when you’ve got time to change your mind but she didn’t. Game on.

  2. goal

GOAL - Germany 2-2 Englandpublished at 73 mins

    Ellen White

Equaliser from White! Where did that come from?

Ellen White beats the offside trap and coolly as you like, slots the ball home. A real striker's finish.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 72 mins

    Germany women 2-1 England women

Germany make a change. Sara Dabritz departs the pitch and is replaced by Mandy Islacker.

  4. Postpublished at 71 mins

    Germany women 2-1 England women

Verena Faisst crosses a ball in from the left and Millie Bright gets a head to it.

But it only goes out as far as Germany skipper Zsenifer Marozsan, but luckily for England, she blasts the ball way over the bar.

  5. 'Germany have done their homework'published at 69 mins

    Germany women 2-1 England women

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC Red Button

Germany are stopping both England full-backs getting forward because of the way they are playing. They have clearly done their homework on England - on who are the key players and who they need to stop.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

    Germany women 2-1 England women

It's a double change for England. Izzy Christiansen and Nikita Parris are on in place of Jill Scott and Toni Duggan.

  7. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Germany women 2-1 England women

There doesn't seem to be much urgency from England here. They're starting to string a few passes together but it doesn't amount to much.

Looks like Neville's about to make a couple more changes.

  8. 'She rarely gives the ball away'published at 63 mins

    Germany women 2-1 England women

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC Red Button

Keira Walsh is very tidy on the ball. She very rarely gives the ball away and I think that's what England need. Someone to keep them ticking over and still offer that protection in front of the defence.

Ellen White is just starting to look isolated, England need to get players forward to support her.

  9. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Germany women 2-1 England women

Phil Neville is screaming at his players to squeeze up.

Jill Scott steams up the pitch with the ball but takes too many touches instead of feeding in a team-mate. Germany steal the ball and take it straight back up into England's half.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 59 mins

    Germany women 2-1 England women

    A change certainly was imminent!

Keira Walsh comes on for Fara Williams.

Brian: I'd like to see England women win this one to make two in a row. That way Philip Neville will know for sure he's got a team on his hands. It would help as the women's game gathers momentum from positive results.

Anon: No diving, no arguing but the men's game used to be like that many moons ago!

  12. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Germany women 2-1 England women

Germany are on top at the moment and something needs to change for England. Fast.

What can Phil Neville come up with? He's chatting with Casey Stoney in the dugout. Is a change imminent?

  13. 'It's poor from England'published at 52 mins

    Germany women 2-1 England women

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC Red Button

It's poor from England defensively but also from Siobhan Chamberlain. In the first instance Mille Bright has to clear her lines.

I don't think Millie Bright knew anything about that shot. It hit her back heel. That has to be better they are better players than that.

  14. goal

GOAL - Germany 2-1 Englandpublished at 51 mins

    Millie Bright (OG)

Catastrophe! What a nightmare for England.

Poor communication between Abbie McManus and Siobhan Chamberlain sees the ball ricochet in off the back of Millie Bright's legs.

Not much Bright could do about it but that's a goal England will be looking to forget in a hurry.

  15. 'That was really unlike Fran Kirby'published at 49 mins

    Germany women 1-1 England women

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC Red Button

That was really unlike Fran Kirby. She has a good first touch and I think she could have hit it with her second.

  16. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Germany women 1-1 England women

Fran Kirby had a chance go begging just there with the perfect opportunity to score from just yards out!

Instead she takes too many touches and the ball is cleared. Let's hope she doesn't come to rue that opportunity.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 46 mins

    Germany women 1-1 England women

No changes for England but Germany have made two substitutions at the break.

Anna Blasse replaces Hasret Kayikci who picked up that injury at the end of the first half, while Magull replaces Linda Dallmann.

  18. Stats of the first halfpublished at 46 mins

    Germany women 1-1 England women

There's literally nothing in this one as the teams emerge from the tunnel for the second half.

Time to see what the next 45 minutes bring.

England have very good foundations from their two previous managers, Hope Powell and Mark Sampson. Now Phil Neville just has to take it on his way.

Jordan: Completely agree with Jonathan Pearce and Sue Smith about the women’s game. No diving, no ridiculous arguing with the referee, just pure passion and determination. An utter joy to watch. Wish the men would learn a thing or two.
